“My biggest concern as a teenager is pregnancy,” says 14-year-old Jamilly in Salvador, Brazil.#DidYouKnow
: Every day in developing countries, 20,000 girls under age 18 give birth? This amounts to 7.3 million births a year. When a girl like Jamilly becomes pregnant, her life can change radically: “If I got pregnant early, I would lose my youth and my dream to finish my studies,” she says.
To prevent adolescent pregnancy and help ensure that girls like Jamilly can fulfill their dreams and full potential, we’re working with governments, civil society and youth-led organizations to extend access to sexual and reproductive health information, counselling and services to young people in more than 150 countries around the world.#TeenGirl #GirlPower #DreamBIG
