You’ve sat down for a new game but you want to know how your group of adventurers fit together. Or do you? Why not just crack on with the adventure straight away? What happens when someone’s character dies? All this and more is discussed, like the start of a bad joke.

In the deepest reaches of space live the Baryolax.  Are they friendly creatures with a high technology, come to trade?  Are they bestial creatures only come to kill?  Genetic mutants released from a top secret research lab?  The decision on what they are and why there are here is entirely up to you, but your players are unlikely to be happy…

This product delves behind the scenes of the much-feared City of Pirates, exploring its social hierarchy, religious views, military strength, law and order, and mercantile activities. Fourteen city locations and four persons of note give the adventurers places to explore and people to meet. Sidebars contain information on plundering the seas and the use of body language in daily life.

A game of science fiction, survival and glory.

An RPG about desperate combat and managing scarce resources.

A post-apocalyptic setting where the remnants of the human race, soundly defeated by an extraterrestrial invasion, try to survive in an age of snow and ice, to recover the technology of the past and to reclaim their home.

This RPG will take you to a cruel and bloody future where humans are no longer the dominant species on the planet.

Of all that remains of humanity, you are the resistance!

Very few starships are autonomous. They require a captain and crew to keep her flying. They man the weapons, deal with medical emergencies or even provide security, both within the ship or on missions. Whoever they are, they are the life blood of the ship.

Episode 5: Art in RPGs
(a.k.a. Dancing About Architecture)

What is the place of art in RPGs? Does it still have meaning? What constitutes good or bad art? Isn’t it all subjective? Gaz and Baz discuss some of their favourite artists and pieces as they negotiate some of the wider considerations of RPG art.

Characters in rpgs often have abilities are not tied to their class, race or skill, although they may be related/useful to it. These are called Feats.

They may be combat related, a way to tweak spells or even to do with the crafting of an item. Some will be useful to almost everyone, others only in very certain circumstances.

This edition of “Fantastic Feats” – a series of feats based around a certain theme or subject – is about the Samurai, the warriors are more dedicated to honor and the code of the warrior.

The conflict presented in this adventure is not black-and-white, good-vs-bad. The actions of the opposition (the Florian-Aslan trade Consortium, or FATC) make sense from their perspective, and there are many good and worthy people among the FATC who will see those who try to derail their legitimate business expansion as nothing more than terrorists. Indeed, it may be that the FATC expansion is a good thing for the region – these are troubled times in the Borderlands, and greater unity might be the decisive factor in surviving the next decades.

While the adventure is self-contained and has all the information a referee needs to run it, Borderland and Alien Module 1: Aslan may both be useful in expanding a campaign beyond these pages.
