The Cherokee Heritage Center in Tahlequah was recently named one of the "10 Best Ways to Experience Native American Cultures for Spring Break" by USA Today!

We couldn't agree more. If you're looking for a unique and fascinating experience this Spring Break or anytime, the Cherokee Heritage Center is indeed a great place to learn about the rich history and culture of the second largest Native American tribe in the country.

Located on 44 beautiful, wooded acres in the Oklahoma foothills of the Ozark Mountains, the center houses the riveting Trail of Tears exhibit, the Cherokee National Museum and the Cherokee Family Research Center.  It also has the impressive living history exhibit called Diligwa, which is a recreation of a 1710 Cherokee Village meant to take visitors back to early Cherokee trading days. The Adams Corner Rural Village, likewise, depicts Cherokee community and life in the 1890s.
