My husband and I have had the best experience at Toyota of Escondido. Carlos sold my husband a brand new 2014 Toyota Camry, and he was a rock star!! Carlos was so sweet the entire time, and so honest, which WE absolutely loved and appreciated. He was also extremely educated about the cars that he showed us, and their features. Also, Vern in finance was awesome!! He was so friendly, and talked to us as if we have known him for years. He is a great people person! All in all, it was the best and easiest car buying experience we have gone through. I bought my car from there about 2 years ago, and it is the ONLY place we will be buying cars from!

Tried to work out a deal with Internet/Fleet as it's difficult for us to get into the dealership. I stopped hearing from Kevin after emails and left a VM. We ended up at the dealership Friday and then Saturday morning. On Saturday we weren't able to work out a deal with Jose Martinez. However, I received a call, email and text from Jose Martinez regarding a truck that he found that they could work a deal with us within our financial requirements. We were unable to come in on Sunday but told Jose we could come in on Monday to sign paperwork. He was supposed to contact the banks and get back to me. I have text him and emailed him with no follow up or response. It is now Wednesday and I haven't even gotten a response saying the banks wouldn't accept the offer. We are very disappointed and displeased with the customer service. There is no follow through or follow up with the sales representative. When I informed Kevin of my disappointment he didn't try to fix the situation and wished me good luck with Jose. I tried calling in this morning to speak with a sales manager and was put on hold for 5 minutes so I hung up. I just wish someone would rectify the situation. This is the second issue with this dealership in 1 year where we are upset with the sales team and their customer service. I will update my review if I am contact soon to fix the issue.

I rarely write reviews, but felt absolutely compelled. Only a handful of times have I seen any service organization take service as seriously as Toyota Escondido. Domenic provided some of the best service that I've ever seen. When all otherToyota dealerships which were more convenient for me couldn't find a XLE that wasn't on stop sale, Domenic made it happen. He was honest and helpful throughout. Most impressively, he actually delivered the vehicle to my home (40 minutes away) and picked up our trade-in. This kind of "can do" attitude is terrific and hopefully rewarded within Toyota. If I need another vehicle, I'm much more inclined to buy Toyota now, and if I do, I will be looking for Dominic! We had some other fairly high-maintenance requests for the vehicle as well that were all handled with incredible patience, dedication and support by the Escondido team. If you are looking for a toyota, or similar car, save yourself the trouble and go to Escondido. It was clearly the best car buying experience that i've ever had. Well done Toyota Escondido.

I have purchased a 2006 and 2011 prius from TofE and referred many people their way. I was going to purchase a CJ Cruiser within next 6 months from them and new Prius within next 2 years from them. Yet due to the last 3 service department experiences that I have had with them - I will never purchase from them again and will never deal with their service dept again. I am seriously re-evaluating whether I will even purchase any more Toyotas - I have spoken with Toyota National about these issues. Visit 1 - took vehicle for oil/filter change. They said I needed front brake replacement with resurfacing front rotors. I had never had any issues with front break sounds and vibrations on downgrades - small or large - the prior 8 years in 2 different priors, yet after their work that day I have had this noise and vibration issues on quick stops and steeper downgrade braking ever since. I live 80 minutes away one way so dealt with it till next visit. Visit 2 - I called on a Tuesday asking for quote and current stock to replace my bottom plastic skid plate that attaches in multiple locations to underside of front bumper and side wheel well protective panels and the side front wheel well protective panels/guards. They said the wheel well protective panels/guards were not in stock yet could be there before Saturday. I also stated issues with the brake sounds and vibrations. I arrived on Saturday - told the service rep that met with me about the appt and what needed to be done/checked. I took "courtesy shuttle" to Panera and got call 3 hours later car was ready. After 3 calls and hour and half later waiting for "Courtesy Shuttle" I walked the 3 miles back. When I got there the bottom and wheel wheel panels had not been done, yet they had done the engine protective panel that I didn't even ask to be replaced. I was told mechanic couldn't hear any issue with brakes. I made error being tired of waiting of only driving around slowly within the flat grounds of the dealership - i made in and rush to get out of there and didn't leave their property and didn't make the sound with the mechanic in the car (even though it made sound on the downhill to the stop light on 76 just before the dealership when I drove there that day - should have gone off property - yet they probably would have said same thing as visit 3). I was so pissed off and had no more time to waste that I paid and left. Visit 3 - today - I called yesterday and made appt for today 2 pm for oil change and for the brakes still making noise on vibrating on quick stops or downgrades. I arrived today and waited 2 hours to be asked if I drive alot of steep downgrades - answer no. Their take was my driving/braking style was leading to hotspots on rotors - my overbraking being the issues. Amazing that I have been driving 2 different Prius'es for 8 years without having that issue and ever since they remachined my rotors 3 months ago that now my driving style has deteriorated. Which is more likely my style changed after 8 years or the rotor machining? My commute to work and back does not involve any significant downgrades and I have only done 3 steeper downgrades in last three months - that i did many, many times in the prior 8 years. If your looking for long waits, incompetent service, and being blamed for their errors - you are in the right place. Craig Shepherd

Kevin Edgett and Noriko Hayden both provided excellent service in the preparation and purchase of my new vehicle. Noriko kept in constant contact during the entire session; however due to my work schedule, was unavailable physically during the test drive and purchase, through no fault of her own. I never made an appointment with her. Kevin Edgett was professional and helpful during the entire process. Both employees should be commended and it was the fastest, most pleasant buying experience I have had.

I went there for my toyota tacoma 2011 25,0000 miles complimentary service last month(12/30/13),but they didnt do it because according to them my toyota care complimentary service was expired.I purchased that truck 12/18/11 but my mileage was only 24,000 the time that i brought my truck for the 25,000 miles service.I even talked to the Finance office but they said they couldnt do it because its expired.I was so upset & I left the place. Today i shopped around how much its gonna cost me for the 25,000 miles service & @toyota escondido was $89.00 while in toyota poway its only $59.00 so i went to toyota of poway & they check the history of my car and the helpful service rep told me that i still have 30 days grace period the date of exp. date which is 12/18/13 & mileage of 25,999 miles whichever comes first. Poway Toyota did my 25,000 miles service free because they said it is still covered by toyota care comp.service. I purchsed 2 cars at toyota escondido but i noticed that when you signed the contract & you have a problem with your car they dont care anymore because they got their commission already..they dont care about the costumer satisfaction @toyota of escondido truck service center!
