Message from Monroe County Department of Transportation: 
Keeler Construction is scheduled to begin work on Bay Road, between Empire Blvd and Route 104, in mid-July as part of the Monroe County pavement resurfacing and preventative maintenance project. The work will include milling the existing asphalt pavement, repairing and adjusting drainage structures, installing new traffic signal vehicle detector loops, a new asphalt pavement top course, and new pavement markings. Work will progress rapid with completion in early August. Two-way traffic will be maintained with daily lane closures as needed. Flaggers will also be used. The Bill Tiberio Band will kick off Cool Jazz Tuesdays, while Paulsen & Baker will perform Thursday for Kids Fest. The Amphitheater series will run Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 PM through August 6. The Town of Penfield is hosting its annual free Rabies Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, June 27 from 10 am to 12 pm at the department of Public Works Public Work Complex, 1607 Jackson Road.

The free Rabies Vaccination Clinic is a service for dogs and cats of Penfield residents. Dogs must be leashed and cats must be in carriers. All pets must be at least three months old.

This free clinic is a courtesy of the Town of Penfield and the Monroe County Department of Health. Park on-site. Call 340-8629 for more information.

The Conservation Board, in conjunction with Woody Acres, will sponsor a tree/shrub giveaway tomorrow, April 25, 9AM to Noon at the Community Center. Penfield residents can choose from a variety of Free tree seedlings to plant on their property. It is a great community project to spruce up our great town after a long and cold winter!

On Saturday, April 18, the #TownofPenfield presented a proclamation to the Penfield Players for 50 years of theater performances within the community. A proclamation was also presented from Monroe County Legislator Debbie Drawe. The presentation took place during the Players 50th celebration dinner at Shadow Lake. Town Board Work Session
Pursuant to Section 62 of the New York State Town Law, I am hereby scheduling a Special Town Board work session to be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the Supervisor Board Room.   This meeting is to discuss department head priorities and goals for 2015 and any other business that may come before the Board.
