Service & Repairs Centre going downhill…It appears that Toronto Honda employs a different definition of the word “appointment” compared to the rest of society.Everywhere else, you make an appointment with the understanding that service will generally (WITHIN REASON of course) commence at the time of the appointment. Otherwise, what’s the point? Not here though. I scheduled (an appointment for) a simple oil change, as done multiple times in the past at Toronto Honda and was told it would be 4 hours? Thought they were joking – I asked what’s the point of scheduling an appointment? Response given was that appointment times are for “DROPPING OFF THE VEHICLE, not the service” I literally LOL– of course,, cuz the 30 seconds it takes to drop off a key to one of the 4 available attendants requires an appointment, haha. I said it’s an oil change. If you are going to wait 3.5 hours until you start the service for a 30 min job, why not just schedule me 3 hours later? Makes no sense. If you are abnormally backed up, that’s understandable as well – call and inform me of the delay “sir, would you like to come in 4 hours from now or reschedule?” Not brain surgery. If it was an extenuating circumstance causing the delay (labour issue, tech problems, car triage), NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER either. It’s understandable. However, I was EXPLICITYLY told that this was not a “one off” delay, that this was in fact POLICY to always take 3.5-4+ hours regardless job size. I confirmed with the apathetic attendant I understood this correctly because 2-3 years ago here an appointment was an appointment. Nope – confirmed. It’s their "policy." I told him you guys really need to rethink your (NEW)understanding of appointments and asked to speak to the manager (Brian) regarding this policy I’ve never heard about (unfortunately was not there). Also asked to speak to Jordan or Stacey (also absent) to verify if they knew that this was the policy/understanding of “an appointment” being used in their dealerships. Imagine if every other service industry such as dentists, restaurants, hair salons operated with the same definition of an appointment, lol…’just sit in the chair sir, your cavity will be filled in 4 hours. Your appointment time was just for checking-in.” They have some major system efficiency and operational issues here in the Service and Repairs Department. Given this is not the first time I have been dumbfounded by the service centre, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Edit/Reply to Owner: Unfortunately there appears to be some double-speak and counter intuitive ideas. Response mentions they “schedule check-in times for customers vehicles based on AVERAGE TIMES to completion” and “the estimated time quoted (4 hours) is ACCURATE based on our usual time to completion.” However, then go on to suggest they “CANNOT ACCURATELY predict when a mechanic will be done there prior repair” and then switch back to saying “philosophy is to provide accurate and precise estimates.” So which one is it? Are time estimates accurate, precise and generally based on averages OR can the mechanic work time not be accurately predicted? It cannot be both. Secondly, if the avg estimated time for this service (oil change + a few simple computer diagnostics -> my (old/retired) father was a mechanic, I know how long these things take) was in fact ACCURATELY quoted at 4 hours, then the first THREE times I came for this very SAME service, the job was either a) SEVERELY rushed as it only took about 1/4 to 1/3 of the time or b) mechanics are getting paid $10/hour because this is one of, if not the cheapest, service package sold. The price of the synthetic oil alone constitutes a large fraction of cost. All in all, great place/customer service to buy/lease your car (would go back for this and highly recommend John Sinyard), just be weary of the Repair& Service Centre as they have room for efficiency optimizations compared to other Honda and non-Honda service centres.Triple-confirm everything.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We are sorry to hear that there was some confusion about how our scheduled vehicle check-in times work. Due to the variability of each diagnostic and subsequent repair, we are only able to schedule check-in times for customers vehicles based on average times to completion of the work they choose at check-in time. To ensure we meet these promise times we limit both the total number of cars we take in and when we check them in. Unfortunately, unlike the dentist model where every operation has the same rough time to completion, we cannot accurately predict when a mechanic will be done there prior repair so therefore cannot have someone 'waiting' to take your vehicle in when you arrive. You chose to have our 'comprehensive maintenance inspection package' includes an oil change, but is not limited to only that and takes substantially longer to complete than an oil change. The estimated time quoted is accurate based on our usual time to completion. We are sorry that we were unable to meet your desired expectation, however our philosophy is that giving accurate and precise estimates is more important to our customer experience than over promising and under delivering. We are happy to discuss further if you have any further questions.

Worst experience of my life....and I'm only 22.. I haven't even started life. Where do I begin. The individuals I dealt with were all crooks. The Sales representative Jason Francis didn't even know what he was talking about. They discriminated me charged me 11,000 for a 2008 honda civic. The finance manager, Victor Khitrov told me that I couldn't afford my car discriminated me based on how I look and my age and then added almost 4000$ in warranty and life insurance to my bill to make my car "financeable" it took almost 2 weeks to get my car. Overtime I asked a question that was unsure of Jason would respond "company policy" no one explained anything in depth to me. I purchased the car mar 1 2016 and by mar 11th 2016 i got a gently used 2012 honda civic from Classic Honda in brampton. they still have yet to reimburse me for the $1100 that they owe me.....let me guess... . ......company policy. Let me add that after posting this review I was texted by Jason stating "you should really think before you act" ....all in all Im done this with location...done
