My name is Todd Owyoung, and I love the rock show. I'm a freelance photographer specializing in live music photography and band portraits.
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis magna cum laude with a BFA in Visual Communications. Throughout the year, on average, I photograph four to six bands a week.
It just takes 3 clicks.
They both cost a lot, the AF is slow and inaccurate against running toddlers, and the MFD of the X100 is fairly limiting to me. Sure, the camera can be thrown into macro mode, but then the camera switches over to the EVF which is laggy and makes me dizzy.
I'm still figuring out what compact will make me the happiest on my days off. I'm starting to think that being a full time photographer has set my standards too high for a compact camera. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
