How do you find using T-Mobile's network at sporting events? Fast enough to share photos.. or unusable?

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/06/rootmetrics-t-mobiles-network-needs-improvement-at-leading-nba-venues/
Picture the scene: You’re settling down in your seat at a leading NBA game and want to snap and send a picture of your Zach LaVine slam-dunking from a mile away. Except, you can’t get Instagram to upload your picture because your network is completely congested by the thousands of other sports fans doing exactly the same thing. If this type of scenario is your worst nightmare, and cell coverage at your NBA ... [read full article]

NYC residents - T-Mobile is now free to roll out Band 12 LTE in your city.

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/05/t-mobile-clear-to-launch-700mhz-band-12-lte-in-new-york-city/
On Periscope, last night, John Legere confirmed that New York City should start to see some Band 12 LTE action at long last. As in many markets, one of the big obstructions to getting the 700MHz network live in New York has been TV broadcast channel 51 interference. In the often mentioned map by DanRant from Reddit, the areas affected and blocked by interference are indicated using the red circles (as seen in ... [read full article]

Anyone actually excited by Google's announcements today? Which of the M features are you looking forward to most?

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/05/android-m-announced-by-google-coming-later-this-year-with-several-improvements/
At its I/O developer conference in San Francisco just a short while ago, Google announced details about its updates and improvements for 2015. They included new features for virtually all of its major products and services, but the one of most significance for us phone addicts was Android M. Unlike last year, this software update seems to be much more about adding features to improve the performance and usability and not a major ... [read full ar...

OnePlus One has slashed its phone prices for this week only. Who's grabbing one?

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/06/this-week-only-oneplus-one-price-slashed-to-249/
Although it only plays nice with one of T-Mobile’s LTE bands, we figured you’d like to hear about an awesome offer from the folks at OnePlus. For this week only, the OnePlus One is going to be subject to a series of flash sales. Each day, from today until June 7, the OnePlus One will be available for as little as $249. There are limited quantities available each day, so your best ... [read full article]

Want to make sure your next phone is band 12 compatible? We've made a list for that:

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/05/list-all-current-t-mobile-700mhz-band-12-lte-compatible-smartphones/
It’s been over a year since T-Mobile acquired its first 700MHz spectrum from Verizon. Since then, it’s been picking up airwaves across the country from a number of smaller independent companies. More importantly, we now officially have a handful of markets where the network is alive and kicking. For those who still might not know what all the fuss over band 12 is ... [read full article]

I literaly use 50GB of data a month (sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less). My nexus 5 was awesome on t-mobile but because it broke and i had to get a phone right away i was forced to buy a BLU lifestyle or some crap. This phone fucking sucks. I hate this phone. I throw it around cus i want it to break to force me to get another one but god dam it it just wont die. I beat the living shit out of this phone without a case nor screen protector. I fucking HATE this phone and wish i could see the makers of this phone cus id punch them in the face for making and sellimg trash like this. The owners of this company DO NOT use their own products thats for sure. BLU PRODUCTS SUCK. DO NOT BUY THESE PRODUCTS. THEY ARE LITERALY THAT BAD. WORST PHONE IVE EVER LAID HANDS ON. But when this phone does break im going to be sooooooo happy. I have special plans for this bitch.

Do you think truly unlimited data plans are going to disappear? If so, what will replace them and when will it happen?

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/05/is-unlimited-data-going-to-disappear/
Looking at the U.S. wireless industry over the past couple of years seems to be indicating one thing to me: At some point in the future, truly unlimited data plans will die. Speaking at the Re/code conference yesterday, Sprint’s CEO Marcelo Claure stated that – although unlimited works really well for Sprint now – at some point, it will stop offering unlimited data plans. As the carrier partners to offer more content to ... [read full article]

T-Mobile should just say no and do what they are doing.

They are growing right now because they have a great CEO and because he is making pro-consumer choices. What T-Mobile should do is offer unlimited even when the rest of the carriers say no. If they can roll out network upgrades at the pace they are now, then the can upgrade the backbones that supply what paying customers have now.

By not following everyone else in the industry and continuing what they are doing now with upgrades to towers, they will win consumers. And once they have the network built up for coverage and have the backbone to offer the service no one else will, they will be number one in no time beating Verizon and AT&T at the game.

Let's not pretend this is not an option, it very much is. It comes down to investing in your customers and thus far T-Mobile is very much doing just that. No need to change.

You’ll undoubtedly remember just over two years ago, T-Mobile and MetroPCS merged to form one company. Technically, it was structured as a reverse merger. T-Mobile didn’t have its own stock listing at the tim and was “acquired” by MetroPCS and took on its stock listening. Although it was structured that way, Deutsche Telekom still owned the controlling stake in ... [read full article]

The list of promising SIM-free unlocked phones in the U.S. is growing. Its most recent addition is a phone I’ve managed to spend some time with a while back: YotaPhone 2. It’s an intriguing Android device with two displays. The front one is your usual HD AMOLED panel, while the back uses E-Ink technology and is perfect for reading e-books or just having a permanent status screen. Until yesterday, the device was only ...
