We might have something to look forward to next week.
After Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure took to Twitter to say that he’s tired of T-Mobile’s Un-carrier B.S., John Legere held a quick Periscope session to discuss the matter and drop a couple of hints about T-Mo’s future plans. During a lengthy Periscope stream from a beach in The Hamptons in New York, John Legere suggested that Marcel Claure’s Twitter rant was the result of him “having ... [read full article]

Are you having SMS issues?
Texting is a pretty important feature of any phone, and unfortunately for T-Mobile users across the country, that feature appears to be down. Several of you have chimed in to say that T-Mobile SMS is down, and others have pinged T-Mobile’s support account on Twitter with the same issue. T-Mo says that its engineers are aware of the problem and are working to fix it, but right now ... [read full article]

Apple Music is now available, but it's not yet a part of T-Mobile's Music Freedom.
Apple Music is now live, offering more than 30 million tracks and Beats 1 radio. One thing that it doesn’t have, though, is T-Mobile Music Freedom. In response to a question about if T-Mobile will be adding Apple Music to Music Freedom, T-Mo said that it hasn’t announced anything yet but that it’ll take the question as a ... [read full article]

If you're still using an older HSPA/HSPA+ phone, you need to read this:

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/06/aws-hspa-t-mobile-markets-shutdown-dates/
Some of you may be aware already that T-Mobile – as part of its network modernization process – is shutting down its AWS HSPA+ network in a number of markets this year. As it builds out its LTE network, T-Mo wants to recycle its older network technology. This move has actually been planned for some time now, but there are some pretty big markets having their AWS 1700/2100 4G/3G (U2100) networks shut-down now, ... [read full article]

I would assume (if possible), there should be allowing the same band 12, both for HSPA+ and LTE. So even if band 4 AWS for 3G is cut off, the band 12 for HSPA will cover ground as much as LTE. It should be possible.

Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure went after John Legere and what he calls T-Mobile's "Uncarrier bulls***."
John Legere hasn’t been afraid to throw criticisms at Sprint in the past, often tagging such opinions with #sprintlikehell. Now Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure has fired back with some criticisms and a hashtag of his own. Yesterday Legere criticized Sprint’s new All-In plan, which aims to make a customer’s bill more clear by lumping the cost of a plan and phone into one rate. Legere described All-In as “a ... Deals on Android and Windows Phone hardware.
If you’re on the hunt for a new T-Mobile phone, there are a couple of deals that you may want to check out. First up, T-Mo is offering $48 off the Galaxy S6 with the code DEAL48. The deal is good online and by calling 1-877-387-4324, though it’s worth noting that the offer is only good for new customers or new lines. If you do take advantage of the ... [read full article]

Hey everyone. As you’re no doubt aware, Cam has left TmoNews after 18 months covering all things T-Mobile. Now that he’s off to new things, it’s time for someone else to take the helm of TmoNews, and I’m going to be the one steering the good ship Magenta. You might’ve seen me here on TmoNews a few times in the past year and a half, covering for Cam when he ... [read full article]

JUMP is getting a revamp. Check out the details here:

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/06/uncarrier-amped-begins-with-a-revamped-jump-plan/
Just a few seconds ago, John Legere tweeted out the first in today’s announcements. Or rather, teased at an announcement before then going on to explain. At time of beginning this post, he hadn’t yet said anything specific except that JUMP! is getting a revamp. This post is developing, I’ll keep adding information as I wade through it. UPDATE: T-Mobile has updated its newsroom page with the full press release, ... [read full article]

T-Mobile's latest anti-duopoly video is pretty entertaining...

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/06/t-mobiles-latest-defeatduopoly-video-is-just-plain-awesome/
As you will undoubtedly know by now, T-Mobile is going to be taking part in one of the biggest wireless spectrum auctions America has ever seen. The 600MHz incentive auction is due to kick off next year and as things stand, the two biggest carriers look likely to swoop up the majority of the spectrum. As they did in the AWS-3 spectrum auction last year. While AT&T and Verizon are lobbying hard to ... [read full article]

T-Mobile sells some of the best – and most expensive phones – on the market. But perhaps what’s surprising is that there are a bunch of affordable phones on the market that can (almost) give those devices a run for their money. And they’re not available on T-Mobile’s store shelves. While that means that they don’t come with services like Wi-Fi Calling baked in, it does mean that they’re factory unlocked and free ...
