T-Mobile proves the little things matter with its Q2 2016 results
T-Mobile has just recently shared its Q2 2016 results and judging on its numbers, things are looking up for the network. One possible reason for its immense growth could be attributed to its highly successful Un-carrier campaign, which managed to lure in new customers and even promote loyalty among those already using the network’s services. When T-Mo launched the freebie program a little over a month ago, it didn’t expect such a huge turnout of ...

In case you're wondering, the new BlackBerry DTEK50 does support T-Mobile's Voice over LTE and Wi-Fi Calling features.
Today BlackBerry took the wraps off of its second Android phone, the DTEK50. The device is sold unlocked and advertised as being compatible with T-Mobile, but when it comes to unlocked devices, we often wonder exactly how compatible they are with T-Mo. Now we’ve got an answer regarding the DTEK50. BlackBerry has confirmed to me that the DTEK50 includes support for Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Wi-Fi Calling on T-Mobile. When it comes to cellular ...

Some leaked internal documents show that T-Mobile will launch a $20 Assisted Service upgrade fee for select customers later this month.
Heads up, folks, because it looks like T-Mobile will soon roll out a new fee for select customers upgrading to a new device. According to an image sent in by a tipster, T-Mobile will launch a $20 Assisted Service fee on July 31. The charge will apply to “the fraction of customers” that aren’t using JUMP!, JUMP! On Demand, or SCORE! and choose to upgrade their device in a retail store or through customer care. T-Mo explains ... [read full article]

Yup. People tend to pay a little extra for convenience, not always by choice though hehe.

It would seem to me that everything about T-Mobile is already convenient enough with all their self-service tools tho, so this fee doesn't bother me one bit.

T-Mobile customers are already getting free unlimited high-speed data in Europe, and now they're getting it in Brazil for the Rio 2016 Olympics, too.
T-Mobile customers traveling to Europe this summer are getting free unlimited high-speed data, and now T-Mo has announced that customers traveling to the Olympics next month will be getting the same gift. T-Mobile’s Brazil Unleashed promo will give free unlimited high-speed data to all Simple Choice postpaid customers traveling to Brazil for the 2016 Olympic Games. +Darryl Woodbury Not sure where you live, but for me it is the exact opposite sadly. T-Mobile used to get great service in my area until the past year. Since I use my phone for forwarding from work, I can't miss calls.

When the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 hits T-Mobile, it could be offered with a Buy One, Get One deal. Would you take advantage of such an offer?
We’re still a couple of weeks away from the Galaxy Note 7’s official debut, but already there’s some info on T-Mobile’s promotional plans for Samsung’s next big thing. T-Mobile is reportedly planning to run a Buy One, Get One promotion on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. That’s according to Evan Blass, who was also responsible for those leaked Note 7 renders from earlier this month. One detail that’s not clear is the ... [read full article]

If I'm still on T-Mobile and don't have to open a new line, maybe. That's basically half off of a price I'm not willing to pay.

I probably won't be on T-Mobile after August, though. Waiting on the unlock phone for my G4. Can't wait to move to Cricket.

T-Mobile had itself another solid quarter, adding 1.9 million customers and expanding its LTE coverage.
T-Mobile today released their Q2 2016 results, and overall it looks like the Un-carrier had another solid quarter. T-Mobile added 1.9 million customers in Q2 2016, marking the 13th straight quarter with over than 1 million adds. T-Mo was a hair shy of having another quarter with more than 2 million total adds, but hey, 1.9 million isn’t too shabby. Of that 1.9 million, there were 890,000 branded postpaid adds (646,000 postpaid phone adds, leading...

BlackBerry's got a new full-touch Android phone, and you can pre-order one right now for $299.
Last year, BlackBerry launched the Priv, its first Android phone that came equipped with a physical keyboard. Now BlackBerry is showing off its second Android device. The BlackBerry DTEK50 is now official, and it differs from the Priv in a couple of ways. First up is that it lacks a physical keyboard, meaning that all of your interaction with it will be on its 5.2-inch 1920×1080 display. The other big difference between the ... [read full article...

A nice update that'll hit the HTC Desire 626s on both T-Mobile and MetroPCS.
Time for more Android devices to receive their Marshmallow update. The T-Mobile and MetroPCS versions of the HTC Desire 626s are being updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. According to T-Mobile, its 626s has been getting the update since July 19, but HTC’s Mo Versi says that the updates will start going out on July 25. T-Mo’s Desire 626s support page says that the Marshmallow update is 835MB in size and will ... [read full article]

T-Mobile says that you can still get an HTC 10 if you want one.
Something strange has been going on with the HTC 10 lately. TmoNews reader Andy and Reddit user spartan_II_117 have been told that T-Mobile no longer sells the 10, and while T-Mo’s site showed it as being on back order earlier this week, it’s now completely gone. However, T-Mobile says that they haven’t stopped carrying the HTC 10. I reached out to T-Mobile today and was told that T-Mo does still ... [read full article]

To promote a phone, you need money. A company makes money by selling a phone. If your phone is trash, like all of HTC phones, you get no money, which = no money for marketing.

Another Android device on T-Mobile has started receiving its Marshmallow update. This time it's the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2!
We learned way back in October 2015 that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 would be updated to Android 6.0, but we haven’t heard much about the update since then. That’s changing today, and the news is good. T-Mobile says that its Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is now being updated to Android 6.0.1, which will bump the device to software version T817TUVU2BPF1. T-Mo doesn’t have much of a changelog for the update, but ... [read full article]
