If you haven't already, go sign the "Abolish Overages" petition, T-Mobile will "Send a message they (the carriers) won't be able to ignore" if it hits 250k signatures. What do you think it will be?

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/04/john-legere-promises-to-send-message-competition-cant-ignore-if-petition-reaches-250k-signatures/
Around a year ago, T-Mobile announced during one of its Uncarrier events that it was ending overages. No more charges outside of the plan for anyone subscribed to the magenta carrier. You may remember at the time he created a petition on Change.org so that consumers could get involved and try to abolish overages. It may have been something of a publicity stunt, but ... Archie, T-Mobile is profitable. The Deutsch Telecom (T-Mobiles largest investor) CEO's complaint is that he feels T-Mobile isn't profitable ENOUGH as an investment for the long term versus other investments the company could make. If you read the article you linked, he is quoted as saying, "earning appropriate money. You have to earn your money back at one point in time."

You said they were losing money, "bleeding" 5 Billion+ a year. They aren't. They just netted over 200 million. If their subscriber base continues to grow that could easily hit 400-500 million next year. So, as I said earlier, before you throw a fact like "Bleeding 5 billion a year" out there, you should check it for accuracy.

Just a few days after it was released for the LG G3, T-Mobile is now rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the LG G2. The news, however, is tinged with possible frustration since there’s a chance that you will be made to wait up to five weeks before you finally see the update land on your device.

What do you make of Sprint's "International Value Roaming"? Is it competitive enough?

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/04/18-months-later-sprint-copies-t-mobile-international-roaming-feature/
It’s become something of a pattern since the Uncarrier movements started a couple of years back: T-Mobile unleashes a program or plan, and another carrier copies it. Whether that’s separating the plan and cost of the phone in to two separate deals, or offering early upgrade plans. T-Mobile does it, and the rest follow suit in a bid to remain competitive. One of those moves – launched by T-Mobile in October 2013 – ... [read full article]

Lollipop update for the Note 4 is one step close to reality...

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/04/android-5-0-update-for-t-mobile-galaxy-note-5-finally-in-testing/
Since its launch, the T-Mobile software updates progress tracker has been an incredibly useful tool. That is – of course – unless you happen to be a Galaxy Note 4 owner. T-Mobile’s flagship phablet owners have been forced to watch as other, seemingly less important devices (Note 3 anyone?) get ... [read full article]

What do you make of T-Mobile's decision to discontinue the Xperia Z3? Are you surprised, disappointed?

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/04/t-mobile-quietly-discontinues-sony-xperia-z3/
Sony just can’t seem to catch a break in the mobile market. Whether it’s because people are no longer excited by the brand, or because of its lack of marketing, the company’s attempts at competing in the mobile industry are a far cry from days gone by. And its presence in the U.S. just took another major hit. T-Mobile confirmed on Twitter last night that it no longer sells the Sony Xperia Z3. ... [read full article]

What do you make of the new map? Is it misleading?

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/04/t-mobiles-new-next-gencoverage-maps-hit-or-miss/
T-Mobile fan or not, you can’t escape the carrier’s influence on the modern market. Before the company’s Un-carrier moves, the only discussion about network operators were generally complaints about signal strength (or lack of it). It takes something special for people to actually care about a carrier, and take notice of what it’s doing. Having recently launched Uncarrier 9.0, the carrier promises it’s not done yet and is moving confidently forwa...

T-Mobile has decided to stop selling the ZMAX. Are you surprised?

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/04/t-mobile-suspends-sales-of-zte-zmax-just-7-months-after-launch/
One of the first devices we heard would support T-Mobile’s band 12 LTE last year was the ZTE ZMAX. During testing, it was referred to as the “Olympia” or “Z970″ and eventually got its public release as the ZMAX in the late summer of 2014. But just 7 months ... [read full article]

We've counted up the results, and the HTC One M9 was the most popular pre-order device among our readers. Surprised?

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/04/galaxy-s6-edge-and-htc-one-m9-more-popular-than-s6-among-tmonews-readers/
Back on March 27th, we published a poll as pre-orders kicked off for three new devices. Those were – of course – the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and HTC One M9. Most who ordered their new smartphones on opening day will more than likely have received their shiny new gadgets by now. And so it seemed a good time to look back at the poll and see which devices you – ... [read full article]

FCC has granted the AWS-3 spectrum auction to a handful of bidders. T-Mobile being one of them...

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/04/fcc-grants-t-mobile-verizon-and-att-spectrum-from-aws-3-auction/
Those of you following spectrum acquisitions and auctions will know that, towards the end of 2014, T-Mobile and a bunch of other companies took part in an AWS-3 spectrum auction. Although T-Mo was by no means the biggest of the bidders, it did secure a healthy amount of the airwaves to help strengthen its network. And, it’s been ... [read full article]

+Isaac Robles it's a noble thought but those auctions are what generate funding to allow the FCC's wireless division to do what it does, a lot of which has to do with ensuring compliance by carriers, evaluating availability to consumers, testing new technologues, and a ton of other things that carriers won't do themselves because their bottom line is revenue, while the FCC's bottom line is balancing citizen needs (protection and private regulation to keep us from being taken advantage of), against needed innovation.

Verizon and others will find a way to make the money they want, regardless of whether spectrum is given out vs paid for.

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/04/reminder-t-mobile-will-release-android-5-0-update-for-lg-g3-today/

Is your Galaxy S6 display scratched or cracked? Let us know..

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/04/galaxy-s6-edge-experiencing-display-problems/
T-Mobile was one of the first carriers to ship its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge units to customers following a pre-sale which kicked off last week. And while devices getting to recipients is generally good news, it seems Samsung may have been a little less diligent in its quality control when producing the smartphones. A thread on XDA-Developers forum ... [read full article]

There's a big bug on t-mobile android stack for my 6 edge: when I'm leaving wi-fi area, phone starts to reboot constantly. (Up to the point where I can turn wi-fi off before next reboot). I suspect the t-mobile phone over wifi feature to be reaponsible for this crash/reboot sequence. Particularities of my configuration : encrypted file system.

Check your LG mobile support tool, and you could find Lollipop for your LG G3:

http://www.tmonews.com/2015/04/android-lollipop-update-for-t-mobile-lg-g3-available-through-lg-mobile-support-tool/
We’ve been contacted by a couple of our readers to inform us that the official Android 5.0.1 update for the T-Mobile LG G3 is finally available. As of right now, it’s not an OTA update, but it is – according to our readers – available through the LG mobile support tool. Checking the T-Mobile software updates page reveals that T-Mobile still has it in “testing” mode. One reader sent us ... [read full article]
