Tomorrow, Saturday, June 21, is the June Solstice. It will be the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and the shortest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere.

Are you doing anything special to celebrate it?

I think all I'll see is clouds illuminated from below by street lights!

Looking for something cool to do? On the nights between April 16 and April 25, just look up at the sky after nightfall or right before dawn and you may catch the Lyrids meteor shower. The shower will peak on April 22 and April 23.

Did you know that today, April 10, 2014 is a Palindrome Day? If you write the date in the m-dd-yyyy format (4-10-2014), it reads the same forwards and backwards.

Missed last month’s Lyrids meteor shower? Not to worry, the Eta Aquarids will peak in the early hours of May 6. Wake up before dawn and head on over to a place away from bright city lights to watch these celestial fireworks light up the sky.
