I got it the same for Thunderstorms in Michigan. Thunderstorms remind me of Thunder Bay Resort. Lighting and Thunder makes me have a kissing and romantic week! That is bit getting solved info anyway. I don't really share what is going on. I think I am saying that I'm starting to get romantic by watching a movie in the Avalanche. Talking about my house in this part. The Camaro doesn't have a DVD player. Thunder Bay Resort is still in Michigan. I don't know what my problem is at home being sick and throwing up today and parts of my body hurting last night and up since 2:00 am. My bedroom is the hottest room ever. Do not see that.

My husband booked the elk carriage ride as a surprise for our 5 year anniversary. They called us a few days before and cancelled on us, and told us we would not receive our refund till after the weekend.

My father and I were shopping golf resorts for an end of summer get-a-way. The cusomter service rep was extremely rude and attempted to pull a bait and switch on the rates. Previously we had received a quote of $265 and that was switched $350 for 2 nights lodging. We were set to play thunder bay and elk ridge on thursday and thunderbay on friday. A *new* charge of an additional fee to play Elk Ridge was added. After some negotiation the witch (customer service rep) hung up. Very rude and unprofessional. I hope this is a rare instance but proceed with caution!

We scheduled a family outing at this resort hoping to have a beautiful Nature experience. Indeed the wagon ride through the forest was lovely and the Elk were spectacular creatures. We were then treated to a well cooked meal in a amazing log cabin. Sounds like an ideal evening doesn't it? Once the meal was served the sales pitch began. And went on.....and on......and on. The owners of the resort appear to be heavily invested in the Elk Velvet supplement industry, and they spent inordinate time trying to convince their captive audience of its marvelous attributes. According to them it will cure everything, from joint problems to infertility. Normally I would simply walk away from this type of snake-oil promotion, but since we were carted deep into the woods, we couldn't leave until the sales pitch was over. We were literally a captive audience. We felt taken advantage of, and the foul taste this left in our mouths overwhelmed any positive impression left by their cooking. You shouldn't have to pay for dinner if you are going to be forced to listen to a saccharine-sweet endorsement of a dubious health care product.

Stayed for what we thought would be a romantic weekend. Sleigh ride, Elk viewing and dinner. First of all the hotel needs a complete renovation. Very old fashion. Dark dingy ugly. Also pack light no elevators to 2nd floor. The sleigh ride isn’t romantic. You are stuffed into hay wagons like refugees. The Elk are caged in and although the animals are beautiful it’s sad to see them caged. The dinner was OK. We had a nice group of people at our table. The hosts make a huge deal out of the crown roast. Looks pretty but you can make this cheaply at home. Also, I found it insulting that every time we were getting to know the people at our table the hosts were passing around vitamins and elk horns for us to buy. Felt like a bad sales pitch. The sleigh ride back to hotel we were given another sales pitch about buying Condos on the golf course. Couldn’t wait for it to be over. OVER PRICED, Will not recommend.

Absolutely loved the carriage ride and dinner. The hotel is a little dated but comfortable.

A beautiful campground, nice wide, level sites. Open enough to get satellite reception, but still lots of Northern Michigan trees. Free Wi-Fi and pleasant staff. Extremely clean and well kept.
