Work begins on £90k Lincoln Tank Memorial - The first sod of turf on the site of the Lincoln Tank Memorial was dug on March 6 at Tritton Road Roundabout. Construction work officially begins on the £90,000 memorial on March 9, and the project is set to be unveiled on May 10. Man arrested after string of Lincoln business burglaries - A man has been arrested following reports of six small businesses burglaries in Lincoln city centre in the space of five days. As previously reported, six incidents were reported to Lincolnshire Police in the Burton Road, St Mary’s Street, Sincil Street and Lower High Street areas between February 27 and March 3. Dog and Bone gets second Lincoln Pub of the Year title - The Dog and Bone pub is celebrating being named the Lincoln CAMRA Branch Pub of the Year for the second year in a row. The small pub, which was deemed a “hidden gem” among terraced houses off Monks Road, on John Street, came top in the judge’s vote and will now go forward to the Lincolnshire round of the competition.
