I have shopped with The House several times and I honestly do not know why I even tried to be a loyal customer. My latest "attempt" to be a customer was foiled because they literally would not accept my money! I placed an order close to $4,000 and wanted expedited shipping as I was planning a storm chasing trip with a couple friends. After jumping through hoops, email verifications, account activity verifications, talking with them several times over the phone and 3 days later....They told me I needed to change all my bank account information for me to purchase with them. So the breakdown? This had nothing to do with my bank, it had everything to do with the amount I was spending and them going to the extent of telling me they thought it was a fraudulent purchase. The kicker? They held on to my money for TWO WEEKS, even after verifying it was indeed my account. If you plan on placing any sort of large order go ANYWHERE else. I will never use The House again. Management or the owner should be ashamed for not stepping in and helping with a very simple situation.

Such a great local company. They always have everything I need, and they are always friendly. The selection is so large that not everything is on the sales floor. It is a good idea to shop online prior to going in for some items. I have saved a ton of money finding things that aren't on the floor but are on sale. Everyone at the shop is great. Best part... they are always supporting the local scene. They are always giving out free gear at snowboard events. They host SUP events in the summer. It seems like they are always around and willing to help the local board sports scene. They hand out so much free gear to the public. NO ONE in minnesota comes close for support.

I was fortunate enough to shop online, in store and deal with customer service. Normally there is no way I would ever say I was fortunate if I had to talk to that many people to fulfill an order, but in this case my dealing with The House was nothing short of perfect. I found an awesome Lib Tech board on their new years sale and ordered it paying with PayPal. I was excited for it to arrive and my girlfriend placed an order for a board, bindings, gloves and a jacket the next day. However her order shipped before mine, and I was getting concerned due to time constraints on my vacation time from work. After calling customer service I was informed that I ordered the last board and they had to search their 3 different storage facilities for it. After not receiving a confirmation number the next day I became stressed that maybe their inventory was off and maybe they were out of stock. I went home to MSP to visit my family and called the house and asked if it would be acceptable if I came and picked the board up in store. They were fine with that, they went and grabbed the board for me and set it aside. I arrived at the house and during our conversation over the payment and processing I was informed that since it was done through Paypal it could only be fulfilled online and they would have to cancel that order and resell it to me as a debit transaction. No problem I thought, so I proceeded to get boots and bindings. The sales staff (Marlin) was very helpful and knowledgeable. They took the time to help me find the best binding and boot combo for me, that was not only comfortable and supportive, but was a great deal as well. He went back a few times looking for a set of bindings for me that were the last in stock but worked perfectly for my set up. I also tried on multiple boots both at the outlet and main store, and finding the perfect fit wasn't a nuisance to them, as they were patient with me as I tried a few sizes in multiple brands to find that perfect fit. I left the store with the intention of returning to the store the next day after Paypal refunded my order to complete the transaction for my board. After calling my bank and Paypal I learned that it would take Paypal up to a week to refund my transaction and that would not work for me, as I would already be back in Washington at that time. I called the customer service line again (Jesse, I think was his name) and to no surprise they were very helpful. I told them the situation and they told me they would two day ship it the next day to make sure everything worked out fine, and at no extra charge. Great customer service and a knowledgeable, helpful staff feels like a dying art in this age. Shopping with The House was a throwback to a better retail era, and I felt like i was the focus of every single person I spoke with. I cannot recommend The House highly enough, and would encourage any and everyone to send their business to The House. I will be a customer for life.

Misrepresentation of services. Charged $30 for FedEx shipping only to find out that it was shipped standard USPS service. Ive email customer service and left a voice mail for the manager and am still waiting for a reply 4 days later. ******VERY POOR SERVICE.****** ****UPDATE**** shipping charges were refunded. Product arrived and was what I ordered. Resolution from customer service could have been done a bit quicker, but all things considered I am a happy customer.

Ordered bike for my grandson, was told it was out of stock and their representative Maren offered to upgrade to a higher priced bike for same cost! I am sure Maren is an asset for this company. Best service for a new customer.

During the Christmas season (2014) I placed a snowboard order Over the phone. I ordered a size 10 in boots and they came as a size 6! Huge difference. Unfortunately they sold out in the correct size so I decided to get store credit. When I decided to use my store credit I had to call in to place my order. I placed this order with the promise it will be here in time for my boyfriends birthday. So his birthday was a weeks ago and I still haven't received my package. I called the house today and they informed me that my package was returned to them because the customer service rep failed to put my apartment number down after I told him twice! So now my very late birthday present will be here in a week. Hopefully. Whatever you do, do not place an order over the phone with this company. I probably will never order anything from this company. The prices may be great but the inconvenience that comes with it, is not worth it.

Worst shopping experience ever! I ordered a pair of snowboard bindings last week and when i looked at my bank account to see if the transaction went through i noticed that they overcharged my order by $80 dollars. So i called customer service and asked them to fix the transaction, which they said would take 3-5 days. So a few days later I looked at my account again to see any updates and i noticed that the first overcharge was still there and they charged me again for over $200 dollars! So I called customer service again and they told me that their systems were randomly overcharging customers! After over a week of trying to get this all cleared up I am still missing the money that they stole from my account. Ive been shopping here for all of my outdoor sports needs for many years, but after this incident i will never ever return to this website or store again and i highly urge the rest of you to stay clear from this thieving company.
