I have been setting up a small hypervisor server using KVM/QEMU, managed via libvirt.
I have a few guest systems running nicely now.
The only thing left for me to do is set up domU image backups. - I plan to use duplicity (http://duplicity.nongnu.org/
) to sync my backups to amazon S3.
If a virtual machine is running its image is always changing so a normal rsync incremental backup wont work, so you need to either pause the VM or find a way to stop the image you want to backup from changing.
Below seems like a nice method;http://kashyapc.wordpress.com/2013/01/22/live-backup-with-external-disk-snapshots-and-libvirts-blockpull/
If anyone has any other suggestion please comment :)
