Real fans paint their face!Cricket World Cup (#cwc15)
is finally here and your favorite team needs your support! Even if you can’t make it down south to watch the games live, you can still show your support by painting your face like a true cricket fan. With Google+ face paint you can paint your team’s country flag or flag colors onto a photo of you and your friends without ever getting your hands dirty. All you need to do to is:
• Take a photo of yourself and up to 4 friends who’d like their faces painted. We recommend a high quality head-centered image: Your face must be visible in the image!
• Share it on Google+ during the Cricket World Cup with the hashtag of your choice, for example #PaintIndia
, or replace India with another country participating in Cricket World Cup: see details at g.co/CricketFacePaint
. The hashtag is necessary to trigger the effect!
• Refresh the page to see the effect: the faces will be painted with the flag or flag colors of your choice. If you cannot see the change immediately, wait a minute and refresh again!
• If you'd like a preview of the effect, you can post privately first. When you're satisfied with the result, re-post the image with the hashtag publicly, or share with your friends. In case you want to get your original image back, select it on desktop first, go to the tab ‘More’ and select ‘Revert to original’.
We'll keep an eye out for great examples of face-painted photos shared publicly on Google+ and reshare some of our favorites on the g.co/CricketFacePaint
page for fans across the globe to see. You can also search for #PaintIndia, #PaintAustralia
and other hashtags to see pictures from your fellow fans around the world.
You can add the hashtag #cwc15fans
and publicly share your photo on Google+ for a chance to be shown on ICC’s official website http://www.icc-cricket.com/cricket-world-cup
. You can also add the hashtag #CastrolCheerForTheCup
and publicly share your photo on Google+ for a chance to be shown on an LED screen sponsored by Castrol Motor Oil during the actual games!
Happy face painting.
