One might be forgiven that the Apple Watch was the first or best electronic watch currently on the market. But then, they probably have the largest ad budget...

I'm a lesbian, but I wasn't born this way - Julie Bindel | Comment is Freehttp://bit.ly/lesbianborn

None of the science dedicated to finding a gay gene holds water, so why not make a positive choice to reject heterosexuality and decide to switch sides?
Subscribe to The Guardian ► http://is.gd/subscribeguardian
Julie Bindel explains why she believes she chose her sexuality, rather than it having chosen her. But, she asks, have we returned to the essentialist notion that we are either 'born that way' or that we are unthinkingly heterosexual?

Hulk smash?
The follow-up to The Avengers may be the harbinger of a new deluge of superhero movies, but if all turn out as entertaining as this one, what’s the problem?

Climate change: Can we afford to tackle it? | Keep it in the Groundhttp://bit.ly/CCafford

The science of climate change is settled, it's now a story all about politics and economics.
Subscribe to The Guardian ► http://is.gd/subscribeguardian
And if it's hard to say 'keep fossil fuels in the ground', it's even harder to ask 'what can we do about it?'. Here, Guardian journalists and prominent authors, economists and campaigners including Larry Elliott and Naomi Klein explore the finance of keeping fossil fuels in the ground, some options available and a possible solution.

The Tories in the north-east: the new 'workers party' goes into battle | Anywhere but Westminsterhttp://bit.ly/ABWtories

General election 2015: Across most of post-industrial Teesside, the Conservatives face a political desert.
Subscribe to The Guardian ► http://is.gd/subscribeguardian
But a few doughty campaigners are trying to hold the Tory line – and even win a seat from Labour. John Harris goes door-knocking with candidates trying to push a gospel of work, self-help, home ownership and even more welfare reform, to people often cut off from politics. A few seats here could make the difference between victory and defeat – but has +David Cameron really got any friends in the North?

But when it comes down to it, do you know what your preferred party has promised to do? With political parties jostling for position ahead of the election on 7 May, Rich Peppiatt takes to the streets of the key battleground constituencies of Thurrock in Essex and Sheffield Central to see if this is the general election when policy become passé.
