We're entering an unsettled period of weather across Texas with scattered rain chances through the weekend. The focus for potential heavy rain will be in the southern Texas Panhandle, West Texas, and Northwest Texas. Rain chances expand on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and especially Saturday across Texas. Details at http://texasstormchasers.com/?p=47678. #txwx
It is a wet start to the day across parts of the Edwards Plateau into Southeast Texas. A large cluster of showers with embedded thunderstorms is trying to make slow progress to the east. It is not out of the realm of possibility that Boerne and San Antonio get a bit of rain this morning. …

Our weather is about to change as we head into an unsettled pattern beginning on Wednesday. Rain chances look to ramp up and could continue in parts of Texas into next weekend: http://texasstormchasers.com/?p=47652 #txwx
Tonight through Tuesday will feature southerly winds and a quick return to summer conditions. The southerly winds will bring oppressive humidity values and the warmer temperatures back into Texas. The southeastern half of Texas didn't get much, if any, relief in the heat but hopefully humidity values were a bit lower today. The northwest half of the state did get to enjoy about 36 hours of cooler/less humid weather. That will be long gone by Tues...

Popup storms are expected in Southeast Texas this afternoon, but the higher rain chances for the northwest half of Texas will hold off until this evening and overnight as a cool front moves south. Saturday is looking pretty unsettled with higher rain chances outside of the Texas Panhandle and Deep South Texas. Much cooler weather with highs only in the 70s and lower 80s is expected north/northwest of the front too! #txwx

It has been a mostly dry morning across Texas with the exception of a few showers in Deep South Texas. More common is fog, some dense, from Southeast Texas west/northwest into Northwest Texas. The pesky morning fog should burn off by 10 AM in most locations. Rain chances today will be relegated to Southeast Texas …

A cool front will move south into the Texas Panhandle on Friday where a few severe storms are possible. As the front moves further south Friday Night and Saturday rain chances will likewise increase with southward extent along with cooler temperatures. Details on the Texas Weather Blog: http://texasstormchasers.com/?p=47585 #txwx
Light showers are moving northeast from Matador east to Paducah and Guthrie in West-Central Texas. This activity is quite light and just enough to wet the ground. Other sprinkles or light showers are moving northeast in parts of the Permian Basin. Again, this activity might wet the ground but no other impacts are likely. These …

Unsettled weather will continue today and last into next week as a series of upper level disturbances bring daily chances of rain. A few storms this afternoon may be strong with gusty winds, small hail, and locally heavy rains. Details: http://texasstormchasers.com/?p=47708 #txwx
Unsettled weather will continue today and last into next week as a series of upper level disturbances bring daily chances of rain. The good news is we’re not expecting any widespread flooding or severe weather issues over the next couple of days. What we will have to deal with is the potential for localized gusty …

New post (Cooler This Weekend with Rain/Storm Chances Friday-Saturday) has been published on Texas Storm Chasers.
Rain chances will be on the uptick this weekend along with the arrival of a cold front to help knock temps down a good 10 degrees or so behind it. Unfortunately, this front will not be all that strong and will not make it too far into southern Texas before it stalls and dissipates, but it will bring a good coverage of rain and showers across much of the state through Saturday. That said, we'll have one more day of hot and muggy temperatures befor...

It was a wet and stormy night across western parts of our state and more rain is expected today. High temperatures will be at or above averages today across much of Texas. Details on the #TXwx Weather Blog: http://texasstormchasers.com/?p=47576
It was a wet and stormy night across western parts of our state. The Borderland, Permian Basin, West Texas, and Texas Panhandle all got a soaking thanks to moisture from former Hurricane Newton. Severe weather and flash flooding were not an issue overnight and some folks got a good soaking. For early September that is …
