As a mother of an LDS missionary I wondered who was with these wounded missionaries in the hospital after the attacks. The story of how others reached out to help is a touching example of applied faith and organization that can and does spill forth from LDS congregations in not only times of crises but in the everyday battles of life.

5 out of 100,000 people will be diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumors or NET cancer each year. While a rare type of cancer, the incidence of NETs patients is rising. I was one of those rare "zebras" last year. Unlike most of my fellow zebras, my diagnosis was quick--once I went in to a doctor. But I had to go in and check on these chronic, "think it will just go away" symptoms that persisted. If you have symptoms that don't seem normal and persist--especially bowel changes, check them out with a health care professional, even if they are a little embarrassing. Educate yourself, it's ‪‎NETCancerDay‬ #NETCancerDay    #cancerawareness   #neuroendocrine   #cancer

Why is cancer awareness important? Not to say poor me or draw attention to ourselves, but to strengthen and uplift each other in the burdens we carry. This video is that! Danielle has a beautiful approach to cancer, filled with gratitude for the teams that surround and support her. ‪#‎cancer‬ ‪#‎NETcancer‬
Sometimes you just see an awareness message which not only inspires you but also gives you hope.  I've always preferred messages in any form from real cancer patients, particularly when they do not come over as a 'pity party'.

Why do we think we need permission to speak about our faith today? We don't. We actually have a constitutional right to believe in God, establish religions based on our faith, exercise that religion and verbally express our beliefs. This is a wonderful public example of a non-offensive, genuine expression of faith. Amen! #religion   #religiousfreedom
