This game while not amazing is worth far more than $10. Snatch it up now. Aiden isn't great but the supporting characters are awesome and the hacking mechanic in addition to the shooting is pretty entertaining.

Oculus Rift live stream was super disappointing. Win 10 lock in. Xbone controller that only works with it's own dongle and Win 10. Bunch of games that look like standard 3D platformers that will no doubt get sold as standard 3D platformers as well. The custom controllers were the only interesting part but it's not enough to make me buy in to an expensive lock in fraught system with one compelling game and a slew of uninteresting software that I can't use anywhere but on a Windows 10 computer.

But that's the thing. I don't want to. I've played the game since the closed beta and they've locked the "thank you" behind high level end game type stuff. That's no thank you. That's keep playing our game you suckers! Bungie can eat a bag of dicks.

Nailed it.

Here’s an interesting video explainer that details why special effects and fancy CGI has ruined movies (or at least, made them less enjoyable). It all feels too fake! Story Brain breaks down how as technology for CGI improved and allowed movie makers to do more with visual effects, our brains interpret it negatively.

Moviemakers are fortunately moving back from that again. Fury Road used practical stunts, and the next Star Wars will also be using more practical effects and models again.

I first noticed how awful fully computer generated scenes could be in The Phantom Menace. Entire battles between droids and gungans were entirely computer generated, and looked way too smooth and slick, and not real at all. Lord of the Rings had it too, particularly with the overly badass sweeping shots of entirely fake mountains and cliffs.

I think I'm going to be setting up a FreeDOS VM for poops and giggles.

I can live with this! I've seen some friends play it on Wii U and it looks fun. I'm always game for any AAA title that makes me feel like I made a good investment in the New 3DS.

A hidden trailer on Koei Tecmo's channel appears to have let the cat out of the bag early.

Very fast service. Despite their speed and intensity the staff is still very polite. I figured I'd see the usual, one, maybe two guys pull the car in pop the hood do their thing and roll on. In fact 3 or 4 people descended on my vehicle. The oil was changed but they also cleaned all the garbage out of my car, checked my lights and washed my windows. To top it off apparently I had dropped a dollar bill and they had tucked it neatly into my cup holder when they could have very well made off with it. Throw in a very neat and well kept waiting area with complementary coffee, snacks and a tv and it was a very, unexpectedly, pleasant visit. Every company should stop by Kwik Kar of Yukon to see how customer service is supposed to work. I'm moving back to Iowa can I take Kwik Kar with me!?

Appeared to be a brand new Subway. Very clean and nice decour. Huge windows let you see the area around the restaurant. Staff was super friendly. Food was spot on. Price, well it's what you normally pay at a subway. Great experience all around!

Biggest room I've ever had for $70/night. I got the single king non-smoking. It's practically a suite. The room was very clean and pretty well kept. There were small signs of wear which is to be expected at a slightly lower cost hotel but nothing worth commenting on. The bed was super comfortable and the room had a nice Samsung HD TV along with premium channels. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The breakfast was the typical waffles, cereal, bagels, fruit and yogurt deal you get at most hotels that offer free breakfast. This place is great and I'll be staying there every time I pass through Kansas City.

Large clean laundromat. The equipment seems older but is well maintained and clean. Free wifi but you have to ask the attendant for the password. Prices are ok. $1.75 for a standard washer but only $0.75 for a huge dryer. If I find myself in need of a laundromat again this is where I'll head.

Very dirty. Appeared to be an old motel 6 converted for long term stay. Fixtures and bath/sink areas had dingy grime that probably could have been cleaned with a little elbow grease. Appliances were in ok shape but the coffee maker had not been properly cleaned. Sheets were clean but the mattress was uncomfortable as if it had been broken down due to extensive use. Blanket on the bed had small holes due to wear. It's not the worst hotel room I've ever been in but if you're staying on an extended stay it's not where you want to be for two weeks to a month. The staff as nice enough. I canceled my room with out a problem and I went to the other Studio 6 in Midwest City near Tinker AFB and they explained that this Studio 6 is franchised while the Tinker Studio 6 is actually corporate. Do yourself a favor and don't bother staying here.
