Morgan Wilson doesn’t think of herself as out of the ordinary. Just ambitious. She graduates from TCC tonight with an Associate of Science in General Studies and a 4.0 GPA. She is the college’s youngest-ever graduate.
Morgan Wilson has always been in a hurry. At 6 months old, she let go of a coffee table one day and started walking, her mother said.

One of the worse schools to attend. Very few schools require both an application to attend and an additional application to enter your major once you complete your prerequisites, but TCC does. They give one set of answers and instructions on the phone, but say the opposite when you go on campus. They are a waste of time and have a low graduation rate most likely due to their conflicting information and ridiculous requirement to apply for your major instead of simply accepting you into it when you apply for it on the application to the school. Considering you have to select a major to submit your application to attend the school you would think they would use logic and accept or deny your application and include your major, but they do not. This school is nothing short of a pathetic joke and mockery of higher education.

TCC is a great place to learn and work. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The faculty and staff are very helpful and the college has lots of resources. I recommend TCC to anyone who is considering continuing their education.

TCC is a wonderful academic institution! The faculty and staff provide a supportive and innovative learning atmosphere that allows their students to grow and leave TCC with a solid foundation. Not only do you get a solid foundation you can do so without any debt! Thanks TCC!

Tidewater Community College is a fantastic institution. Committed to serving students, the college is constantly looking for ways to improve student learning. In the past few years I've seen the addition of three new student centers (at the Chesapeake, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach campuses), the launch of a textbook-free "Z-degree" designed to save students up to 1/4 the cost of an associate's degree and the introduction of on-campus childcare services (in partnership with the YWCA) on all four campuses. Student success is the college's top priority. And did you know 3 out of every 5 students who attend TCC graduate without any student debt?
