- Saturday- Sunday: 8:00am- 5:00pm

the doctors are great. staff is friendly and helpful. easy to get everything done (office visit, labs, testing) in one place on the same day. every doctor/specialist is connected to the same system, so everyone is on the same page. very convenient lots of locations if youre in a crunch.

I am very distressed about the fact that I had to go to see the same Doctor 9 times without having a problem fixed. To remove a corn on the bottom of my foot, Dr. Tar did warn me that it might need to be treated a couple of times instead of just once. However, from the 3rd time on, it's always '95% and just need one more treatment'... Eventually after 9 times, hundreds of dollars out of pocket (Insurance paid another $1,515), tens of hours waiting to see the doctor, I had enough and went to see a nurse practitioner, one visit, $20 over the counter medicine and several weeks later, it's 100%. I complained this in letter and emails to Summit Medical Group, no reply at all. I complained this to BBB and got response. Summit Medical Group customer relation is a nightmare as well, they made me to go for an extra appointment with the other practice, got a copy of my medical record. And then quickly and simply they concluded "we didn't do anything wrong". Another experience with Summit Group is nothing to do with the good doctor, but even more painfully bizarre. My primary doctor insisted me to have a routine eye exam even I don't need new glasses. She of course referred me to the Summit Medical Group's Ophthalmology practice. My wife warned me that they might not take our vision plan. So when I called to make an appointment, I asked specifically if they take my vision plan, she said they will only go through medical insurance and asked me what medical plan we have. When I told her UHC, she led me believe that it's not a problem So I took a day off to go for this appointment since I won't be able to see clearly for several hours after the check up. When I got there, I was asked to sign a form saying it's my responsibility if medical plan doesn't cover this. WHAT? Didn't the girl booked my appointment check this since all my info is in SMG's computer? So I called UHC and was told no it's not covered under the medical plan. I told the receptionist, she basically said it's ok, when I get the bill, I can just submit it to my vision plan - implying that my vision plan will cover it... Silly enough, I assumed she's right since I don't have my vision plan's # to call at the moment. I was also thinking even if it's not true, it won't worth it to reschedule to take another day off to save $100. She was wrong, my vision plan only cover $30 because SMG is not in the network! I was wrong, because the bill is not $100, it's $290 for a routine eye exam! My wife tried to talk to SMG customer relation many times to reduce the bill - no, can't do.

I have been going to Summit Medical Group for 30 years and they have always been there for me.The Urology top notch, and billing has never given me wrong info.I drive from PA. to Berkely Hts.As any business that grows, they also will have growing pains,I try to focus on my health with a positive attitude.Thanks SMG!!

Total big business, there work is shabby sucking in doctors who had been around on there own for years.The billing department is the worst i have ever seen, in all my years. Got calls from a collection agency for $70 that i had no clue i owed. a measly $70 being harrassed by just out of college young punks. my family and i do hundreds of dollors into the thousands at times and they do me dirty like that.Yes i do like my doctor of 15 years, but have to say what a change on his practice very robotic all about the money.

If you want to spend your money wisely on health care do not go to this place as it is the medical version of the giant vampire squid sucking blood in Wall Street. First of all, this giant medical group is more expensive than other places, the amounts this group bills are always multiple time as expensive as other smaller more normal doctor groups and insurance companies actually pay them this amounts which makes your insurance copayment higher than to the average cost that you will pay without insurance for the same treatment elsewhere. Worst part is they will not give you direct upfront cost estimate for the treatment that you are seeking so that they can extract this excessive amount of money.

I can't believe the reviews I am reading. The Summit Medical Group uses a care model that all other providers should be struggling to obtain. 90% of all diagnostic procedures that doctors normally prescribe after the initial visit can be done on-site, and in many cases on the same day. All data is centralized (no more lugging your test results back to the primary physician). Need a medication? All your records are available to any specialist so concern about countra-indications is mitigated. Tired of waiting to be seen, I have never had to wait more that 10 minutes (and that was a fluke) to see my care giver. Try that in any other Doctors office, I dare you. All-in-all I had to write this to set the record straight. Big business medical centers like Overlook Hospital crank out patients, care little for their time, and basically provide cattle call health care. At Summit Medical Center (SMC) doctors take time, explain thoroughly because they are not forced to crank out so many visits a day. Big Tip: respect their time, they will respect yours. BE ON TIME, CALL IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL. It is a shame that when a medical model like SMC is created the critics come out. Nothing is perfect, but this is the gold standard of health care. Who know, maybe some critics work for the competition.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rosenbaum (endocrinology) for several years now. I have have a positive experience with them, other than one mix up in appointment, which they resolved adequately. The wait time is reasonable, the staff, professional, and the facilities clean. At one point I had forgotten to get blood work prior to a regular appointment. When I called the office to re-schedule my appointment, they suggested I call the main office and see if I could come down for blood work that weekend (I believe I wound up going in on a Sunday!), so I wouldn't have to reschedule my appointment, I called, and was able to get the blood work done. I was glad I didn't have to miss my appointment. I would certainly recommend Dr. Rosenbaum, and if it weren't so far away (40 minutes) I would likely try switching my general physician to someone there. I have a good insurance plan, pay my copay up front (like every office requires these days) and have had no issues with billing.

I have no issue with the medical care HOWEVER their billing practices border on fraudulent! You cannot be seen unless you pay your visit co-pay upfront. Despite this, you will ALWAYS get billed for the co-pays again which requires a call to their incompetent billing dept. (if you can get thru). They also dig up 'unpaid' items from months and sometimes years ago. These items are small (usually under $50) and require multiple phone calls to resolve. After I produce evidence that I owe nothing, they say it is due to a glitch in the system They gave me this glitch explanation at lest 5 times in the past. I believe they send these small invalid bills out hoping people will pay them to get rid of the nuisance factor because they will send them to a collection agency if you ignore them. This takes advantage of the elderly, the busy, and those who do not keep meticulous records. Maybe the Inspector of Health and Human Services could investigate these disturbing and unethical billing practices?
