What a wonderful shot from my friend +Tarun Bhushan . Comments and likes on the original post please.

No lions here now

(Best viewed full screen). The tourists are safe. Lions will not emerge from beneath the arena floor. However, when it was in use, the unfortunate gladiators and animals were brought up through trapdoors in the arena floor, a small portion of which has been reconstructed here (centre, on the far side).

Most people will recognise the remarkable Colosseum in Rome (also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre or Anfiteatro Flavio). This is a panoramic internal view - 5 frame panorama - along an axis that shows the  central channel in the floodable underground structure called the hypogeum.

Selfies are a craze everywhere!
Even in the remotest part of the world.
This one is from Nagaland, India where Naga tribes participate in the annual Hornbill Festival near Kohima.
The image was shot 4 years ago, so guys, selfies should be passé by now! :D

The Busy Parent!
A pair of Common Tailorbirds decided to nest about 6 feet away from where I sit and work on my desktop. She laid on the 1st of March and the eggs hatched on the 17th.
The nest is very busy now and I used the activity to test my camera's settings prior to a trip to the Karnataka Bird Festival in a couple of days.
My presentation is way behind schedule so my time here is limited. Apologize in advance for tacky replies.
Stay well and have fun! :)

Holi - Street candid, Kolkata, India
Holi, or the 'Festival of Colours' is a joyous spring festival celebrated by Hindus in many parts of India and across the world with large Indic diaspora populations. Every year it is celebrated on the day after the full moon in March
Holi is well known for the rituals attached to it. The best known is the smearing of coloured powder on each other.
Today is Holi in eastern India.
Happy Holi!

Note: Special credit for those who can figure out where the fish is in the frame.
