An intriguing look into my improvisational music creations. A video (the only recording) of an improvised piece in my recording studio. Watch as it happens.

"A Minor Thing" http://mprv.co/1QQpFIo #improv #piano and exclusive recording of it
I enjoy making and listening to music. All sorts. But improv is my "first love".

This will be a very short post. This may not be the same for everyone, but sometimes words get in the way of my imagination. Twitter has been a good “teacher” in this regard. By forcing me to limit my verbalization to 140 characters, it allows the…
Stan Stewart offers a very short post on allowing imagination to come into the foreground: possibly by using fewer words.

musician, improviser, teacher and always a student: the muse is present
Introduction
Have you found the right "Stan"? My full name at birth was Stanley Gerald Sawyer. I am the son of a protestant minister and realtor who still live in central Iowa. After my own short time as an ordained minister, I moved to California to "do only music" and ended up becoming a UNIX system administrator for many years. Since moving to Pennsylvania, I've stayed with my musical passion, including improvisation. I'm a certified InterPlay leader/teacher, singer, guitarist, digital recording engineer and producer, pianist, live-looper, drum circle leader and more. See "my web bio" for a more concise run-down.

My experience with a recent rafting trip down the Rogue River was top notch. Each of the guides was excellent and an individual at the same time. They each provided a great combination of safety, knowledge and laughs! Even before the trip, the contact from ROW staff was professional and warm. FAQ's and the like were provided to answer my many questions about what to bring. I think I'll be travelling with ROW again and recommend them to you as well!

Food was good. Expected superb, but it's just good. The "baby" vegetables were overdone. Meat and coffee were above average. Service is excellent with quite an "in" looking staff and crowd.
