Once data is held for ransom, there's no guaranteed way to reclaim it -- not even payment. Ransomware's victims typically are those with the least protection. To avoid becoming a target, install strong security tools on your computer and mobile devices, back up data to a reliable cloud service, keep passwords in a secure location, and exercise caution when clicking on links or opening attachments.

Highly knowledgeable and available at a moment’s notice! SSCR was able to restore a complete system crash for me a couple years back and I've used this firm solely ever since for everything from minor hardware fixes to software consults to product purchases. The fact that this is a local, small business is a big plus for me as well in that the owner is courteous, attentive and personable.

Nothing is more frustrating than a computer - you've come to rely on - failing. When our system had issues a couple years ago, I sought a local repair/IT company and found South Shore Computer right here in Middleboro. Since then I've returned many times and have always had very pleasant results whether it be repairs, software, advise or even a hardware purchase. John is not only "helfpful," but highly knowledgeable, personably and fast on turnaround. Highly recommended!
