However, as I learned while working for a private investigations company, most of us don’t fully understand how privacy works, how it extends beyond our browser history, or how we’re really vulnerable.

We've been glad to see  #privacy  become more relevant and important over the past few years:
It began with radical 'cypherpunks' who wanted to destroy the state. Now it's a hot-button issue for every Facebook user. How did the notion of internet privacy gain so much traction, and where will it take us next?

"Datenkrake" translates literally to “data octopus,” and it’s what #privacy   activists in Germany call the data giants of the Internet:

"Even though it’s likely temporary, it’s a good thing and we should pause to celebrate a little."
Senate to Vote on USA FREEDOM Act on Tuesday Section 215 has expired.  At least for now. The law that the NSA used to authorize its collection of vast amounts of information about the telephone calls of ordinary Americans is no more. Even though it’s likely temporary, it’s a good thing and we should pause to celebrate a little. One of the NSA's most powerful tools of mass surveillance makes tracking someone’s Internet usage as easy as entering an email address, and provides no built-in technology to prevent abuse.

Now the govt desires to jail those who expose their lies, continually gathering information on those they were elected to serve. We have become aware and unafraid of the tactics these people have used to manipulate us for generations. America has become a social experiment, torn apart by those who desire for power and are driven by absolute greed. Those who bring these strategies to the light are brave and inspire others to speak out regardless of these intimidating  consequences.

Good for +SpiderOak trying to inform people of privacy issues they are perhaps unaware of.

More people should be spreading this sort of info instead of being cynical about motives.
