“Every question,” taught Nahman of Bratslav, “is an answer.” And so it is with Seth Cohen’s recent posting, in which he invites feedback on his question, “Are communities investing enough in the training, development and advancement of the professionals that are committed to working in the field?”

For the fifth year in a row, Spertus Institute is proud to spearhead One Book | One Community, in which a single Jewish book is selected as the focal point of discussions and events across the Greater Chicago Jewish community.

This year's One Book | One Community selection is A Backpack, a Bear, and Eight Crates of Vodka by newcomer Lev Golinkin.

This is one of Chicago's greatest wedding venues. I photographed a wedding here where the ceremony took place on the ground floor, cocktail hour on the mezzanine level, and a reception on the upper level overlooking the park. We were able to utilize the rooftop patio for photos of the bride and groom with the lake and park as a background. They had Wolfgang Puck kosher catering for the catering.

It is educational though a little bit sparse. It is a new build on a building that makes a good impression on Michigan avenue. The perfect wedding location if you are having a jewish wedding and like modern. They do the food on site. its Kosher.
