Amazing how our view has changed since '62!

It's #FlashbackFriday! We love this incredible photo taken from the +Space Needle of #Seattle in 1962.  You can see the #Monorail route that goes from downtown to the Fairgrounds.

From the Needle to New Jersey – we're bringing the Space Needle 12 Flag to the Super Bowl!

Send your well wishes to the +Seattle Seahawks by signing the flag before it leaves – it will be on display at the base of the Needle on Wednesday, January 29 from 12:30-3:30pm. It will then depart for NY/NJ where it will rally through Manhattan before being handed off to the team prior to kick-off of Super Bowl XLVIII. You can stay up to date on the on the journey here or by following #NeedletoNJ.

Have no fear, a second 12 Flag will be raised in its place atop the Needle, while the historic flag makes its way back East. #GoHawks #SB48 #WeAre12

The Space needle is one of the Seattle's symbols. Is very recognisable and has a very good location in the city. When you go up the staff guy tells you some facts about the tower at the same time you can see thru the elevator windows the beautiful view. I thought it was taller, actually is not very tall but it didn't matter. The views from the top in a clear sunny day are very good. From here I saw the impressive mount Rainier. The staff is very friendly. I was here twice, at night and during day. I'd say both are incredible and don't know which one is better. During the day you see all the mountains in the distance, at night the city lights are beautiful.

We were not planning on going to the Space Needle as rain was predicted and we heard the view would be obstructed. The sun was shining when we arrived to Seattle Center so we decided to take a chance. It was great. We walked all around the outside and looked into the free telescopes and took our own pictures. They do snap a digital photo of yourself which is included in the cost of the ticket but you don't have to buy any copies, you can just get the digital download. It is amazing to see the the 360 degree view of Seattle and we would totally recommend it in on a clear day or a day with a few clouds. Visited April 2014

About what you'd expect for a trip to the top of the space needle! I had a really good time and enjoyed a nice cup of coffee while getting some good photography for my personal blog. I'd go back just for the pictures, worth every penny although it might be expensive for some that are just going up to see the view.

Very cool place in Seattle to go check out. Going up to the top for lunch is a great experience as well, but make sure you bring your checkbook (or whatever you keep all your money in). The restaurant can get very expensive rather quick. It takes about 30 minutes in total to make a total rotation, but it gives you a very unique view of the city and surrounding area. Bottom line, the Space Needle is worth checking out.

Went last night on a very clear night.Just did the observation deck not the dinner. really great views of downtown and Seattle at night. Cool video boards and free souvenir digital pictures which is pretty awesome. (these.are professional quality pics that most places charge 15+dollars per. ) Didn't give 5 stars because I didn't get to see in daylight to get the full experience. my inconvenient schedule not their fault.

We were told they had a recently new chef that was good, and that was an understatement! While, I know the ambiance and atmosphere is a lot of your dining experience, they don't survive solely on that! My gf and I are absolute food lovers and the Space Needle restaurant did not let us down. The server was excellent as well, and the bus person had empty plates gone immediately. And the view is just incredible, as you can imagine. Set a reservation, and don't skip out on this!
