South Seas (along with Kelsey, the Catering Sales Manager) was amazing from start to finish. Our wedding dreams were made a reality, and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone. We received many compliments on the food at both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, and each venue (Sunset Beach Luau and King's Crown Lawn) was perfect. We ended up having 105 total people at our weddding, and I am confident each person had a great time not only at the resort, but at each of our events. You will not be disappointed should you choose to marry at South Seas!

We had 2 wonderful vacations here. Then in July we visited and it had really gone down hill. On our previous two visits housekeeping was excellent and everything was well maintained. This time there were some huge issues that should have been addressed. First, my daughter got pink eye from dirty pool water. We noticed the water looked cloudy and we asked about it. We were told it was because so many people in the pool had on sunscreen and it made the water cloudy. Against our better judgement we let our children swim and my daughter got pink eye. I know there was a problem with the pool because the next day when we returned to the pool area the pool was closed and the person handing out towels said there was no chlorine in the pool, something had gone wrong and that the it would be closed to rebalance the chemicals. Also, there were wasps swarming around the pool by the beach. I called to alert the grounds crew there may be a wasp nest by the pool. Nothing was done. On the third day my daughter (the same one who got pink eye) was stung by a wasp. Housekeeping was only so-so, previously it had been excellent. My children did love the trolley and all the activities. We saw manatees in the harbor and loved walking around the grounds. My kids loved to visit Scoops for ice cream, they enjoyed the water slide, and to ride bikes around the island. Overall, our most recent trip was not worth the money. I called and emailed management, but never got a response. You can get more value for your money in my opinion!

Love this Resort It' is a great family get away just a short trip from the Tampa. Suggest an afternoon at the poolside TIKI it will certainly take your mind off your worries.

I had to stay there for 2 nights for a conference. The staff is rude and not trying to help. 1. asked for directions to find my room. The guy at the front desk was showing me how annoyed he was with my request 2. Asked to check out 1 hour later. Was told no...not very nicely. Overall the staff is doing its job, but it definitely not customer service oriented. The room: they are ok: clean, large, a home feeling but nothing fancy. Calling them ``villas`` is a misnomer Does not really feel like a resort

Very pricey for not high quality. Our double room had warn furniture but a comfortable bed and only had slightly warm water, yuck.
