Hoodoo’s Winter Carnival, presented by Subaru of Bend, is a celebration of the fun and excitement of winter recreation in the Northwest. The day-long schedule of events includes an ax throwing booth, frisbee golf, musical chairs, a three-legged obstacle race, a team tube race, a hula-hoop contest, a pie eating contest, a ski javelin throw, an archery contest, a Hoodoo employee snow sculpture contest and bingo. Plus, enjoy live music throughout the day.

The always popular Dummy Downhill contest at 3 p.m. features large figures made by Hoodoo guests. The dummies, which are attached to skis or sled runners, are sent flying down a steep course with a snow-packed jump that leads them to a stunning crash. To enter the Dummy Downhill, please complete the registration form and return it to the Hoodoo main office.

After the lifts stop running at 9 p.m., there will be a torchlight descent followed by fireworks on the mountain. You won't want to miss the triumphant return of Winter Carnival 2016 at Hoodoo Ski Area.

Best Ski place ever. Amazing and helpful all the way. Don't forget to check out the Ski lesson place here, it's the best out there. They cater to everyone's needs and are very attentive to each individual. Props to the Director for his outstanding behavior in making sure we had good experience.

My family has always skied Mt. Bachelor for the yeast 20 years. We never visited hoodoo because how far it was and being such a small Mt. The last couple of years the road up to bachelor has been busy and the Mt. Has Been busier and when we are up there we feel we are dollar signs not people. Believe me when I say corporate Mt. We went up to hoodoo for the first time 6/28/2016 and skied are pants off. The nice thing was they just got 7inches of new snow, but even with out that they we friendly, helpful, and glad to see us. Kind of like bachelor 10 years ago. I realize this is a small Mt.and part of me doesn't want to even write this review on fear more people will go here. This Mt. Rocks and they will be seeing more of us. So if you like small lift lines and nice people we will probly see up at hoodoo. Thanks for reading😊

I'm almost hesitant to rave about this place, I'd kinda like to keep it a secret for legit boarders, and keep the lines down, lol. It was great!

Excellent family ski resort. Good for beginners and intermediates especially. I'd say they have the best beginner lift in Oregon.

I came here once when my children were young and I was surprised at how unpretentious it was compared to ski resorts in California.
