Match report / 01/06/2017 / Principality Stadium / Cardiff Bay

Final score: England 10 - 3 The Republic Of Ireland

The sun beamed down on Cardiff as the city basked in the excitement of the UEFA Champions League final. On that day, on a magical floating pitch inside the enclosure, we cheered on The England Amputee Football Association as they were victorious in our first game as headline EAFA sponsors.

It was a momentous occasion to see the Simply Business logo in the hot summer wind as goal after goal screamed past the Irish defence. England appeared the younger and fitter team that day and were surely bolstered by the crowd in attendance.

Ireland turned the pressure up in the second half and scored late in the game but it was not enough as England had already secured a historic victory. A round of Lucozade and post match interviews followed as the teams shook hands and dusk fell quietly on Cardiff Bay.

It’s worth noting that none of the main parties are pledging to roll back any of the buy-to-let changes including the stamp duty hike on second homes.
