In 1868, as the Liberals in the Commons reunited and the influence of Palmerston and Wallace became history, the man who untied the factions was the obvious choice to lead the first modern version...

British publishers were presumably as disappointed as the French authorities when the Bastille fell, as it had been a source of cheap schlocky copy for years...

Strangely, Simpsons, Giles and BTVS are the only names I have heard from the list. ;-)

Plus one to a story about what happens when you like everything on Facebook
I like everything. Or at least I did, for 48 hours. Literally everything Facebook sent my way, I liked---even if I hated it.

Story
Introduction
I do No Rock And Roll Fun, write some bits and pieces, and do websitey stuff
Don't usually submit reviews on Google+ but the existing review (which smacks a little of anti-Hispanic rant to me) was so unfair I thought I ought to. We went there just after Christmas 2014, and it was alright. It's not the greatest restaurant I've been too, but it was friendly, well run and the food was delicious. It's a homely sort of place - the crockery (intentionally) doesn't match; the salt and pepper shakers are different on each table - and that adds to its charm. The other guy who posted a review seemed to complain both about getting something which wasn't on the menu, and not being able to get something which wasn't, either. tl;dr - if you're the sort of person who gives a raspberry tuppence about the shape of the glass you're drinking wine out of, there are more expensive, less comfortable places to dine in in the area. If you like good food and supporting small restaurants, you'll go home well fed and happy.
