Just had our first experience at this hotel. What a great experience. Parking however is a bit costly and sometimes the hotel does not allow for self parking. The first room was a lake view, however, caution not all rooms are actually what they say they are. The front desk agent, Mia, said we had the lake view which was what we signed on for. However she did not mention that there may be construction in our way. Needless to say, it was not much of a lake view. We called down and instead opted for a nicer view, one that we had paid for and made the trip for. She changed our room to a very nice view of the Chicago River. We were very happy with this change and plan to make a yearly visit out of it! We loved loved loved that room! Wish the prices for the mini-bar, snacks, and internet was free like many other hotels in the area offer. Maybe they should opt in to giving guest free snacks, such as a cookie like the DoubleTree.

This Sheraton is a little dated. The lobby is elegant, with its marble floors and chandeliers but it does look like it needs a face-lift. The maps are a little small and hard to find so if you're trying to make your way to a certain conference room or a dining room, be sure to ask someone. The staff there are very friendly and helpful, if you can get a hold of one. They seem to be somewhat understaffed as everyone was engaged with a customer. The layout of the conference rooms downstairs is a little baffling - they don't circle round so if you want to get to a conference room at the end, namely the Huron, you have to walk a really long way. The dining rooms are also not terribly large so having a buffet with about 60 people will be a little cramped as people are constantly moving around, negotiating their way through tight spaces.

I travel alot and spend about 6 months a year staying in hotels. This is easily one of the worst hotels I have ever been in. I'm not sure how they are getting a 4 star average. My options for food was appetizers at the bar, SHULAS steak house (way over priced), or room service (which always rang busy, ALWAYS... they never answered!!!! ). Valet parking at $58 a night is ridiculous, they say 5 minutes for your car and your gonna wait at curbside another 10-15 for it to actually arrive. There are much better options in Chicago.

the sheraton was a nice hotel but over rated. Also i started getting charges on my credit card from red box and i only used my card to pay for my weekend at the hotel so it was obviously someone from the hotel that used my card to pay for there red box movies. I called the hotel and they wouldnt do anything for me and they actually hung up on me twice before i got to talk to anyone. I would never stay there again.

This is one beautiful hotel inside and out. And, being located on the river produce some beautiful views and breeze! A great place too situate yourself when visiting the North End of Downtown Chicago.

Without exception, the worst meal possible. Crab cakes cold in the center, Caesar salad completely lacking in flavor and refrigerator cold. Filet mignon, 8 oz, was dry and salty. For the pleasure of $138.
