💻 + 📱 The #io17 mobile app is now available for Android (goo.gl/m8T4wb) & very soon on iOS (goo.gl/BiuVCJ). Read our blog post for a breakdown of all the things you can do with the mobile app this year: https://goo.gl/jJVHpz

Exclusive for onsite registered attendees: To help make it easier to attend your favorite talks and minimize lines, you’ll be able to reserve seats for sessions in advance of I/O - as long as you’re signed in with the same email address you used to register for Google I/O. You can reserve as many sessions as you’d like per day, but only one reservation per time slot is allowed and reservations will be open until 1H before the start time for each session. If a particular session has already reached the reservation capacity, you can join the waitlist and we’ll automatically change your reservation status if any spots open up. A portion of seats will still be available first-come, first-served onsite. Reservations are open starting today via the “Schedule” on the Android app and on google.com/io/schedule. Note: Reservations will also be available on iOS once it launches.

I've been trying ProtoPie, a new prototyping tool for about a week and really enjoying it. If you still have the energy to try yet another prototyping tool, I highly recommend checking it out if you are looking for a powerful tool not requiring code. https://www.protopie.io/

The Pixel C is getting the Pixel treatment in the latest Android beta 2 update (7.1.2). https://goo.gl/nBMnDv

We've revamped the system icons, app icons are now rounded. We also redesigned the launcher grid as well as optimized recents for productivity with a mosaic view instead of a card stack.

I'm particularly happy to see this one go public as it is my first contribution to the Android system UI.

It's been a while since I published anything on my dribbble profile. Time to correct that with a shot of the new ChromeOS system menu update. https://goo.gl/swc6IL.

This update launched in ChromeOS 56 brought a refreshed shelf, new Material design ripples, a completely revamped and pixel perfect status tray and system menu as well as a new panel for our newly supported input device, the stylus, launched for the first time with the Chromebook Plus and Pro.

You can see more about that in the post or directly on the dedicated page on my portfolio: http://sebastien-gabriel.com/work/chrome-os-system-menu.

Introducing ShapeShifter v0.1

For the past couple of months I've been working on a web app that simplifies the process of creating SVG-based path morphing animations.

Try it out and let me know if you have any trouble. If you don't have your own SVGs to use, click on that three-dotted icon in the top right corner and play around with one of the demos. :)

I'm especially interested in how I can make this tool more useful for UXers (who are usually the ones creating SVGs in the first place)... so please send me feedback! I'm also interested in supporting other export formats other than AnimatedVectorDrawable... send me feature requests!

I worked with the Blink team to bring overlay scrollbars to Chrome.
I am so pleased to finally have scrollbars that overlay content instead of adding a sidebar in the latest Chrome OS Dev Update. No need to enable an experimental flag anymore. Yeah!

More Dino :)
Playing the hidden dinosaur game is now even simpler in Chrome Canary. All you have to do is going to chrome://dino, press the <Space> key and here you are! You don't need to go offline to play anymore.
