This game is sounding pretty good, though our board game playing has become far more casual, filler style lately. This might be too heavy for the group.

Our boys were re-zoned to this school 2 years ago and at the time we were a bit worried. We generally enjoyed the time at Wilder Elementary and didn't want things to change. It turns out that everything we liked about Wilder is even better at York. In our experience the school is run very well, things proceed smoothly through the day and year. The student activities are what you would expect for an elementary school and the kids get lots of chances through the year to express their individuality with dress up days etc. Of particular note, I find that morning drop offs are managed exceedingly well with almost no lines even on rainy mornings. Most important of all though, the boys enjoy the school, like their teachers and generally get out of attending what is expected.

We have been to this campground two years in a row while we were visiting the Texas Renaissance Festival. It is fairly close the the festival and offers some very nice debatable cabins, either one or two bedrooms. The cabins have full kitchens and a single bathroom. WiFi is available but isn't really strong enough to be used for much. The one issue I have is that the kitchen supplies outside of the real basics are very limited. If you need special pans or utensils you may need to run to Wal-Mart across the street. But really that complaint is fairly minor. The facility has an indoor pool, and outdoor playground and generally looks quite nice.

Montag's is a great shop for Pearland. In a city the physical size of Houston you are lucky if you don't have to drive to find a nice shop. Montag's focuses on miniatures and card games most of all but has a good enough selection of both board and roleplaying games. The shop is small, but is kept clean. Montag's is worth a visit if you are in the area.

Food was excellent and more than filling. Picky kids liked the chicken nuggets which was a not of a surprise. Live music, good atmosphere, great food and beer. Yum.

Tried Pollo Tropical for the first time tonight. Really great food if you like roasted chicken I highly suggest it. The chicken was very nicely seasoned and cooked well ( breast was not to dry). The four of us ate for under 30 dollars which pretty good for us. I can also recommend the plantains. Overall, we all liked it, including our picky 9 year old.

Had the half roast chicken. Chicken was good and not dry. Came with a variety of things, potatoes and carrots/cabbage as well as a bread stuffing and Yorkshire pudding. Was a lot to eat. Topped off with a nice brown gravy was perfect.

I thought the food was good. I had the French Dip and the au jus had a good flavor and wasn't super runny. The service was pretty good though we did wait a bit to order and were not offered desert. Over all though i liked it. We sat outside which was nice.
