Lively place with lots of things to do with your family. Expect crowds of tourists. I was slightly alarmed by all the girls being murdered on roller coasters. Fishing from air-conditioned trucks must be some new sport. And if you're looking for the seals they aren't on the beach but at the far end of the pier on an old broken boat dock. Be assured Paul Blart: Dock Cop has your back.

I love this place but there is inconsistencies with the ride operators. Just tried to ride the undertow, a ride I rode on Wednesday wearing same jacket with same bag over my shoulder no issues. Today I get all the way through the line and was made to get off ride. My bag was securely over my shoulder and underneath my zipped up jacket, I also wore it on the giant Dipper which is a lot more jumpy I had no issues with the bag. When I was told the bag needs to go in the locker I asked where are the signs. She pointed out a small sign that had an arrow and lockers in big letters, the rest were in little letters. I'm at the beach and amusement park so to me that means lockers for clothes so I wouldn't particularly continue reading. I Get off the ride and try to leave but the chain was up and I was having a difficult time getting off the attendant just stares at me until I asked her are you going to let me out. The rest of my party continues on the ride and as I am waiting I noticed another operator standing near the entrance where are the seat tester and the entrance to the line are located. If she standing there watching wouldn't that be the opportune time to let people know they need to store in the locker instead of waiting till they get all the way through the line. I have no problem following the rules, it's just frustrating when it's not clearly marked, my items were clearly secured on my body, and The Operators aren't consistent. This is a great ride, I enjoyed it very much so not being able to ride on it was very disappointing.

Gorgeous. Absolutely beautiful. Bring a sweater it does get breezy if you're not ready for it. Don't forget a blanket and an umbrella. There's so much to do and see. It's a great place to have fun if you have the cash to spend.

Lovely beach with tons of ride but my fav thing about this beach is the backwaters from the sea. This provides two great benefits 1. Respite from ice cold ocean water. Backwaters is rather warm and cozy. 2. Safe zone for kids to play in water. You don't need to be holding hands all the time. Water is shallow in backwaters and kids love it. Nice festive like atmosphere with people sun bathing, bbqing, playing. It's a nice fun place to spend your day.

This is a wonderful place to go and hang out, play some arcades, explore the fair and the rides and grab some fast food. The rides are simple and most are family friendly. There is plenty of food and little shops to keep you busy, and when you get bored of those, hop on to the beach and enjoy the weather and fine sand.

As I have been visiting the Boardwalk for the past 30 years Ive seen it transition significantly, the gang violence is almost non existent these days with the implementation of a massive park security force and hugely improved surveillance. Many new rides built in place of older rides in the past 4 years as well as major improvements in both maintenance and remodel of the "Haunted Mansion" (dungeon) and the "Cave Train" which is an over the top, prehistoric leap back in "time" to a funky cave man animatronic fictional story telling ride. Major beaches bordering the park with direct access to the boardwalk itself. Big name concerts at least once a week during the Summer and other stage shows. Movies shown on a regular basis with seating on the beach (bring a blanket) many other events also. see website.

This place is a ton of fun! The boardwalk has a bit of a retro vibe with the rides and colors. If you're into taking photos, there's a ton of great photo ops here too. Just make sure to leave the tripod at home as security will be right on you if you start to set up. A great place to spend the day, especially if the weather is warm! I docked one star for the prices being a bit high. $5 to ride the roller coaster, yikes. Best deal is to come during a promotion or just get the season pass.

There's only a few places that get my 5 star rating. Typically, I have to have gone there on multiple occasions. With that said, I'm a California native and I've been to Boardwalk more than I can remember, and with each visit, comes a new experience. I can't say that I've ever had the same experience here. The place is so nostalgic and depending on the time or day you go, you get a different crowd and different feeling. Obviously peak season is summer or just recently, Labor Day weekend. If you hate lines and bratty kids, you would want to avoid the above mentioned dates. Don't mind the crowds so much and like free music? Stop by when Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has their annual Bands on the Beach! Performers like Blue Oyster Cult to Macy Gray have made their appearances here. Fancy a little old fashion claw game? Stop by th arcade and grab yourself a minion or giant sriracha bottle! Food is...well...carnival food. But hey, there's beer for a pretty decent price! Stop by for a little childhood fun and soak up the sun (or lack there of). Sit back, relax, and do a little people watching; it's fun! **Super secret tip! (But not really.) Come Summer 2017, Boardwalk will have had a $12 million some odd, face lift! See you then#
