Thanks to Debbie Lee at the Las Vegas Weekly for stopping to see us at The Angry Butcher!
The casino has old-school appeal, as does its new steakhouse.

Sam's Town is a cool off the Las Vegas Strip hotel and casino that is lively and vibrant with lots of activities outside of has a movie theater and bowling alley right in the casino along with popular restaurants and a buffet..It is a place where I can go gamble, have a drink, grab a bite to eat and enjoy the other amenities...they have nice guests rooms and great service...definitely a place for folks to visit who want to have the local casino experience

I have always hated having to drive through Vegas and have avoided staying there like the plague, but my wife and I had a good feeling about his place and decided to stay there one night on our way to Arizona. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of things we could do without having to leave the hotel. We were given free breakfast which was really good, our kids (1 and 3) loved the water show, and the room was descent. However, there were some unpleasant surprises too, like when the cost of the room suddenly grew from $35 to $50 and then to $75 after factoring in all kinds of hidden fees. Despite that, we definitely could've done worse than than Sam's Town.

We love Sam's Town! My family has been coming here since I was little, and it never disappoints. It's less crowded than the Strip but still lively, and there is everything you could ever want. The food court, movie theater, bowling alley, pool, bingo hall, and atrium keep kids and adults busy. I can't say enough good about this place, not to mention that we don't gamble a ton, but we almost always get a few nights comped.

My party and I stopped in to eat at the buffet. We loved it. The whole place is beautiful. The table are less expensive than down town and the strip. I will be back!

Booked with a cheap rate online and they gave us a larger room when they found we were traveling with young children. The room was a suite with separate living room / kitchen area including a pullout couch. Bedroom included a hot tub, dual vanities, separate walk-in shower and toilet. We comfortably fit two adults and three children in the room and could have easily fit more if needed. A portable crib was provided. Staff was polite and worked quickly to bring our luggage to and from the room. There was also an entrance directly into the hotel area so we did not have to cart children through any casino / bar areas.

Has gradually improved over the last 6 years. Fridays have decent whole crab legs. You know they treat their employees well because they've been around practically forever. I've lived in Vegas for 13 years now, and I still see the same faces. A few new, but still a lot of familiar faces with great service.

Rooms are affordable, but modest. The Casino is the real attraction. The lunch buffet was again reasonably priced, and much better than many at higher prices elsewhere. The decor is a bit more of old vegas, but that has its own appeal, and the entire facility is beautiful

All the service is extremely helpful and nice. I Absolute love the outdoor looking feature in the middle of the lobby. It's a perfect place to go for someone looking for a quiet and affordable hotel off the strip and yet still be close to old vegas
