Come and build your own bGeigie Nano mobile geiger counter and learn how to measure radiation and add to the Safecast map. The workshop starts at 10am at the Safecast office in Shibuya. No soldering skills are required. Costs are Y45,000 which pays for the materials to build your own device.

Pulling from the vastness of 9 million data points collected over 2 years by the many Safecasters, Levi has started analysis of the radiation level trends over the past 2 years. The initial results show significant fall off in the areas around the Fukushima and more work is underway to better understand the trends and mechanisms behind these.

+Kelly Neu We don't send functioning bGeigies to anyone, we send kits that people put together on their end, which you know because of all the emails we've been sending back and forth about problems you've had building your kit.
