+Cornell University and the +University of Michigan, Ann Arbor continued to jockey for Baja SAE supremacy at the Baja SAE Maryland competition, held May 7-10 at Budds Creek Motocross Track in Mechanicsville, MD. After finishing as runner-up to U of M at the sea-son-opening Baja SAE Auburn competition, Cornell’s Big Red Racing finished on top at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County-hosted competition, the second of three events in the Baja SAE series. If you know an SAE member who should be recognized for their use of engineering skills to achieve product or manufacturing process contributions which are assessed to have had the greatest positive effect on the passenger car, truck, and bus industries, nominate him or her for the Henry Ford II Distinguished Award for Excellence in Automotive Engineering. In the launch of its EP-8100 image generating system for commercial and military simulation and training, +Rockwell Collins said that the system addresses the key issues facing its customers today, namely how to bring new levels of realism and performance to their training environments while preserving the investments they’ve already made.
