The style might have changed a bit over the years, but the voice is still the same. Here's Ronnie in his first TV appearance back in 1984. #ThrowbackThursday

Everyone... EVERYONE campaigns by telling America that THEY are going to change Washington.
Once they get there, their heads are handed to them. "Washington isn't broken, it's bought !"

Hard to be employed when the people that we elect to create jobs are taking money from the companies that are selling us out. Politicians aren't in politics to do the right things, they are in politics to gain power and to make money.

I would think I was having the best dream ever!  Once I realized it wasn't a dream I'd fix a meal and drinks for them.  Then I would sit there and cry listening to them perform.  Hopefully I would have finally pulled it together and then invite them to eat, drink, and relax. ( I'm Italian and we love to have friends over and feed them)  Since this a hypothetical question, Could
Ronnie's family come as well?

PS Ever since Ronnie and Kix played on the  Dr Phil Show as a gift for Dr. Phil's wife. I routinely ask my husband Bill if he was able to get Ronnie to come play for us yet. #RonnieDunn  Wouldn't that be a hoot if Ronnie and his band and family did show up?  It doesn't hurt to dream!

I've been listening to B&d for many years. I come from a place where musicians come hard and lean and many have gone on to Nashville. I live in Nova Scotia the home of Lots of stars. But I think in all honesty that Ronnie has one of the best  voices and style in a few categories. I could only hope that his new group makes the trip and that by then his light from within comes to be a beacon brighter than it was when he was part of a duo. I have only been to one concert in my life due to work, but if he ever came here his spirit and music is so pure he would make it big here in a minute and I would come to the second concert of my life. The first was the rolling stones but I would enjoy his so much more. I listened to Ronnie sing in so many pklaces i Can't remember. I do remember one place. I stopped on the road side in my truck and climbed up on the hood and I was looking at the sunset across the prairies and in the valley it looked like someone had thrown down a handful of diamonds. and I was hooked ever since that day. I have listened from alaska to deepest parts of the Canadian wilderness and that says allot cause you can drive a thousand miles and find nothing. but when you have songs such as this man's music it makes the trip like floating on the treetops and stroking the branches as you go by.

last comment of the night...the guys running for office are using the TAX issue as a smoke screen to try to get cheap votes. Almost 50% of the people in America pay NO taxes at all. ***Food for thought : What if every one of the 1% got in their cars (?) and drove over to the MOST impoverished part of their towns / cities and randomly, handed out $1,000,000 in one hundred dollar bills...spend it however you see fit. Now, fast forward one year. What does it look like ? Remember the $600 Economic Stimulus checks that the Gov't sent out around the last election ? That really turned the economy around, didn't it ! Don't let these guys con you, despite how charismatic or smart or, media savvy they appear to be. The 1% already pay 30% plus. Warren Buffet is an anomaly. He made so much that he donated billions to charity and offset his tax liability. America needs new jobs, entrepreneurs and innovators. They don't live in Washington, D.C. What America needs are more unemployed politicians !

Everyone needs to pay taxes. it's what keeps a country alive and without it it falls apart. Maybe not today, but sure as heck it will fall apart. Everyone does their part and it helps them lower the cost of livin for those that don't make as much, or allows them to be treated by a doctor, or get glasses when they need them, or a place to live if they lose their own home. Or better yet hel;p keep them in their homes. Remember that war so long ago in America where they got tired of paying high taxes and decided that a revolution was required. Well when the rich don't pay it's kind of like them being the people collecting all that tax money and keeping it. Rights doesn't mean you allow people to lose their living or homes or even closing down whole towns.

..the ONLY true power that WE THE PEOPLE have is to vote. That sounds like a cliche' but we have to clean house, over and over again until the people running for office (Democrat or Republican) get the message that voters (the people) are paying attention to what THEY are doing. If WE are going to preserve and insure our freedom (Democracy) WE are going to have to take America back.

THIS NATION NEEDS MORE PRAYER AND TO ASK GOD TO HELP US CHOOSE THE RIGHT CANIDATE.  I KNOW I'M NOT VOTING FOR HILLARY BECAUSE SHE'S AS BAD AS OBAMA AND HER HUSBAND BURNED HIS DRAFT CARD DURING THE VIETNAM WAR. CAN'T STAND NANCY SINATRA EITHER!!  WHEN I WAS CALLED, I WENT WILLINGLY BECAUSE MY COUNTRY NEEDED ME.  I DIDN'T LIKE A LOT OF THINGS THAT OUR GOVT. DID TO US AND THE LIES THAT WERE TOLD ON T.V. ABOUT US BUT WE BELIEVED OUR CAUSE WAS A JUST ONE!!  THEN WE CAME HOME TO AN UNGRATEFUL NATION THAT SPIT ON US AND CALLED US "BABY KILLERS". THOSE SO CALLED "BABIES" COULD KILL YOU AS QUICK AS AN ADULT!!  NVA WOULD USE THOSE KIDS AS WALKING BOMBS. IT WAS EITHER YOU OR THEM!!  I WENT THROUGH THE 2ND TET OFFENSIVE FROM '72-'75.  I LEFT SAIGON ONE AND HALF MONTHS BEFORE IT FELL IN APRIL 1975.  WE DIDN'T LOSE THE WAR....THE GOVT. LOST THE WAR FOR US!!  IF OUR GOVT. WOULD HAVE LET US STAY ONE MORE DAY, THE NORTH VIETNAMESE WOULD HAVE SURRENDERED!! NOW DON'T THAT BLOW YOUR BEST HAT IN THE CREEK?!!

Introduction
His voice has helped define the soundtrack of country music for two decades, and now Ronnie Dunn is poised to continue that legacy with the release of his self-titled solo debut album, released June 7, 2011. A 12-track collection, Ronnie Dunn captures the multi-award-winning singer/songwriter’s most complete musical vision, produced solely by Dunn, with eight songs that he wrote or co-wrote.

It’s the album he’s waited 20 years to make, and Ronnie Dunn delivers in a big way, from the stirring poignancy of the smash first single, “Bleed Red,” to the energized cantina-country of the Dunn/Terry McBride co-write, “How Far to Waco,” the all-too-real everyman’s portrait of “Cost of Livin’,” and the devastating, heart-on-the-line balladry of the Dunn-penned “Last Love I’m Tryin’.”

The collection kicks-off with the party-time opener, “Singer in a Cowboy Band” (penned by Dunn and Craig Wiseman), and closes with another Dunn co-write, the soulful “Love Owes Me One.”

“Cost of Livin',” the second single from the new album, is available now and is currently climbing the country charts.
