#MatchDay The Final Countdown- Kavazovic Seeking Positive Result As Popa, Yanga Clash
In our final build up ahead of our encounter with Tanzanian giants Young Africans at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam today afternoon, our headcoach Nikola Kavazovic spoke exclusively to rollersfc.com about his side’s preparations…
Nikola Kavazovic feels it will be a clash of similar styles.
“We are facing a team with similar football approach to ours”, Kavazovic says. “They like possession, ball control, and they know to recognize the moment to strike. We will answer with high pressing and offensive transition through [Segolame] Boy and [Motsholetsi] Sikele.”
Injury to Edwin Moalosi and the unavailability of Ofentse Nato and Galabgwe Moyana for CAF matches has necessitated some changes to the line up.
"The players were tired after a long and exhausting journey, but our medical team is doing a great job. I hope we can be stronger than the tiredness and emotional emptiness", Kavazovic says, "There will be three changes in comparison to the last game [the Mascom Top 8 final against Orapa United last Saturday in Francistown]. Joel [Mogorosi], [Mthokozisi] Msomi and Kaone [Vanderwesthuizen] will replace [Ofentse] Nato, [Edwin] Moalosi and [Galabgwe] Moyana. Moalosi can’t play, but Edwin Olerile [who missed the Mascom final through injury] has recovered and will be available for the game. Everyone else is in good health and mood,” Kavazovic says.

Mascom Final A Must Win- Maano
Our captain Maano Ditshupo has described the Mascom Top 8 final against Orapa United scheduled for the Francistown Sports Complex tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon as a “must win.”
In an interview with rollersfc.com, Ditshupo said after the disappointment of losing three finals in a row between 2014 and 2016, his team wants to win the Top 8.
“We came close when we lost the 2014 final to BDF XI on penalties; in 2015 we were leading Gaborone United 1-0 in the second half before they came back to win 2-1. In 2016 again we were leading Orapa 1-0 late on, they equalised and they went on to win in extra time. This time I believe we have learnt a lot from our past experience and for us this is a must win,” Ditshupo said, "Orapa is a good team that has done well against us in cup games, but we have also beaten them comfortably in the past (6-1 in 2014 and 4-1 in 2017 in league games). Orapa has just emerged as a team in the past few years; Rollers is a big club which has won trophies over many years. We cannot be intimidated by them or anyone else. We will respect them, but we are not seeking revenge; that would disturb our thinking, we are more driven by the hunger to win the cup,” Ditshupo said.

BDF Earn Win Over Popa
A first half Rashid Mandawa hat trick earned BDF XI a 3-1 win over Township Rollers in a BTC Premiership match played at the UB Stadium on Monday night.
Rollers made a wholesale of changes to their line up and there were many positives to be picked up from good individual performances by the Men in Blue.
Matebele forward Mandawa prised open the Rollers rearguard three times, and Kaone Venderwesthuizen's goal in the first half was not enough for the Blues to earn the desired points.
BDF have now defeated the top two sides- Rollers and Jwaneng Galaxy- by the same margin in their latest two matches.

Rollers Take On BDF In Monday Night Action
The Blue's return to domestic action tonight with an interesting Monday Night Football Fixture scheduled against BDF XI at UB Stadium, kickoff 19:00 (7 pm).
Speaking to rollersfc.com, our Headcoach Nikola Kavazovic gave us a hint that he plans rotating his squad for tonight's match.
"None of the players who started the game in Sudan will be in the team that starts the match against BDF", Kavazovic mentioned,"Four of them will be on the substitutes bench, but just for the case of emergency; not result emergency, but in the case of injuries. I will be sending out 11 players who almost didn’t play at all this season. Rollers don’t have a first or second team. What I expect from them is to explore the chance they got, to prove themselves and to win the game,” Kavazovic said.
