Our Pittsburgh store is holding a pen turning for troops event today from 9 am - 5 pm. One-of-a-kind, custom turned pens from the event will be sent to American troops as a thank you and show of appreciation. All attendees are provided with materials and assistance to turn a pen, no previous pen-turning experience is needed. There is no cost to participate.

Woodworker's Journal Magazine reader Jose Martin shared this simple tip for removing dried wood-glue drips from your workbench. Warm the glue with a heat gun for about 30 seconds until it turns rubbery. Then you can peel it off easily with a scraper or putty knife without prying up wood fibers in the process. Just don't heat it too long and burn your bench top.

Nice design but would never work with real wood. It would end up either bowing or leaving a gap with it's expansion and contraction.

This frame-clamping jig makes it a snap to make a lot of small-sized frames. http://ow.ly/sqHI302g328
Making picture frames is easy with this simple clamping jig. Fast, accurate clamping and easy glue cleanup are just two features of this practical jig.
