A new study published in Biology Letters by Swiss zoologists found that urban moths have learned to avoid light. The researchers analyzed 1,050 moths that were collected from areas with low light pollution and heavy light pollution. The research shows that female moths and urban moths (those from areas with heavier light pollution) were less likely to fly towards lights.
