This place has something for everybody. I came here for a relaxing weekend by the pool and to visit the spa which I definitely got. The pool bar has wait staff that will bring you drinks and snacks. While the pool was a bit crowded and we had a hard time finding a spot to put our things, our group of 3 wasn't bothered. The spa was also very nice. Carlo was happy to greet us when we arrived and I got a wonderful massage from Heidi. Afterwords we were offered champagne in our private jacuzzi. Great experience. That all said, this is a party hotel. You get the feeling people were there to TURN UP. People making out in the pool, drunkenly making their way back to their rooms at the end of the night. Nothing too bothersome however as we were able to sleep straight through the night on their VERY comfortable beds. Though maybe not the most kid friendly place.

I enjoyed my stay. After about a 2 hr drive from L.A., check in was quick and painless. We were upgraded to a jr. suite which was nice. Room was clean, staff was always polite and helpful. Pool area was clean and relaxing. Overall 10/10, will return again.

Little slice of luxury! Fantastic pool and very comfy stylish room. Only gripes were no locks on bathroom doors, which were also a very diddly double door design that were cumbersome to open and close. Also the edges of the beds protrude out quite far, so has led to a couple of curse words and bruised shins

What earns you guys two stars? 1. 30 dollar resort fee per person. It should be illegal to falsely advertise a price then add 30 dollars per day, per person, for a "resort fee". I assume it's only for covering the subpar gym, cumbersome internet service allowing only one device, and, as far as I can see, that's it. 2. 20 dollar parking fee per day. Do people ride their bikes, piled up with luggage, from out of town? I can't understand that this fee isn't included with the room somehow. 3. If you're here for an event prepare to pay 16 bucks for a ice filled, weakly poured, poorly mixed drink. That's just lame.. oh, and the bartenders STILL would like a tip please. 4. There is not a lot to do within walking distance of the place. 5. Back to the charges that piss me off.. $160 dollars a night, + $60 for my wife and I (per day), + $20 a day parking, + room tax and state, county, city fees. Equals roughly $300 a night. So... much more than the advertised $160 nightly. Pro.. 1. Staff is nice... but, they should be when customers are being fucked over. Solution: Be up front about your pricing, don't try to compete with an online "deal" and then inform your customers that there are a ton of fees when they arrive. Hopefully, the class action lawsuits associated with this practice will make this illegal. As it should be. It would be nice to know that a business is willing to take care of its customers and simply be truthful... just sad really.

We're 10+ year SPG customers, and have stayed in most of Starwood's hotel chains. While there is nothing outwardly wrong with this hotel, it lacks the "feel" of Starwood's resort properties. The rooms are OK, not great. The hotels is heavily centered on being poolside and ordering drinks, and running up a hefty bill, kind of like a Vegas resort. Putting a cash deposit for incidentals was not allowed, and after asking to speak to the manager on-duty or general manager (neither of which were available) we were abruptly greeted by Hotel Security who asked us to leave. We called the folks at SPG, who were also unable to get the hotel management to budge on their policy and accommodated us at a different property without a fuss. I have no idea why Starwood's bought this resort as it has nothing in common with the rest of their properties, so if your looking for a good Starwood experience, I'd highly recommend The Parker or The Westin resorts in Palm Springs, both of which give you poolside resort experiences without being over-the-top like this one.

They need to step it up and do something about their staff or they will a legal situation on their hands from assult. My husband is working security and have had a Hispanic man (by description) repeating slamming into him, trying to antagonize a fight. Slamming into someone on purpose is assult. Tell you dip stick food workers, to keep their hands and bodies, same thing, its all assult, we will not play stupid little games with you guys. Do you want people who are working hard standing out in tge sun to secure your stupid shady resort... or do you have nothing better to do than play little kid games, it won't end well for you!

The grounds are beautiful and our room was cute (4000 building) but all staff minus the sweet folks in house keeping need to CHECK OUT. Spent my birthday weekend here, earlier this month, and regret it. Main pool staff = AWFUL Restaurant staff = understaffed and could care less Never again. Find something else!

Room and service are great! Unfortunately, we came during Splash House party weekend so we weren't able to check in early. In addition, weed and alcohol smell is very strong. Parking isn't too bad. However, the layout of the hotel is very confusing, so hard to find the room.
