We all love Datassette, but did you know he uses Renoise for all aspects of his music production?

+Eddie Symons aka Bovaflux coaxes lovely warm melodies and bleepy drumlines from his studio, which uses Renoise at its heart. Reminiscent of early Bochum Welt, Artificial Intelligence and the more optimistic sounding records in the Toytronic catalog, the new album, "Hermetic Peaks," burbles with sonic character and synthesized funk that just won't quit:

Starting out as a strictly Drum & Bass producer in Detroit, Jeremy Howard aka +Sinistarr (OFFICIAL)  has gained a healthy catalog of releases and remixes on prestigious drum & bass labels such as Metalheadz, Hospital Records, Project 51, Renegade Hardware, and many others, but has grown into new tempos and styles across the electronic music genre. Sinistarr is one of the leaders of the dance music new school, a triple-threat as a DJ/Producer/serial Remixer who's as well known for his forward-thinking beats as he is for nightclub domination. Representing Detroit, Sinistarr's attacking both headphones and dancefloors for 2015.

If you know drum and bass you know Sinistarr as a respected junglist who's dropped heavyweight tracks over the years on Goldie's Metalheadz imprint, Doc Scott’s 31 Recordings, Hospital Records, Architecture Recordings and Renegade Hardware. Recently though, the man's been everywhere, applying his signature style to diverse sounds like footwork, techno and house with releases and remixes on SMOG, Tectonic, Sub:lvl Audio, Human Elements, Seclusiasis, Juke Trax, and Loose Squares that show him moving beyond dance music conventions and constantly reaching out to a new audience. He’s even joined on as a member of the seminal group Urban Tribe, a team led by Drexciya member Stingray313 who boasts Carl Craig, Moodymann, and Anthony ‘Shake’ Shakir as other contributors.

On why he chose Renoise for his productions:
"The fact that I was able to write down whatever that was in my head by simply mapping it out, rather than having to worry about renegade midi ticks and strange automation. Renoise is a next-level notation software that has upped my workflow completely."

In the Renoise Pattern Editor and the Phrase Editor of both Renoise and Redux, many values use the hexadecimal system. If you're unfamiliar with this concept, it can be confusing to see letters amongst the numbers. This video will give you an understanding of exactly what's going on.

We're happy to announce that the Redux VST/AU plugin from Renoise is now available for Win/OSX/Linux.

Redux is a combination of a sampler and performance-oriented phrase sequencer. Want to try it out for free? Demo versions can be downloaded from: http://www.renoise.com/download

How much does it cost?
A Redux license is €58 (+VAT) or $65. For owners of Renoise, a Redux license is €40 (+VAT) or $45 when ordered through the Renoise Backstage.

What's included?
Redux comes with a small but fine pack of example instruments, samples, DSP FX Chains, Modulation Sets and Phrases - all the components that make up an instrument in Redux. We highly recommend that you browse through the included presets to get an impression of what it can do for you.

There are 3 additional free content packs with more instruments, samples and other presets available to registered users in the Backstage.

Songs are constructed by playing a sequence of patterns. In this video, we finish up the song by using the Pattern Sequencer to create a simple song structure.

Advanced music software for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux.
Introduction
Renoise is a sophisticated music sequencer and audio processing application for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux. It's a unique all-in-one music production environment for your personal computer.

Renoise is based on mod trackers. Mod trackers are characterized by displaying and editing music in an easily understood grid known as a pattern. These patterns are akin to sheet music, but are displayed alphanumerically instead of with musical notation.

Whether you're an audio veteran or just starting out, Renoise is a fantastic addition to any bedroom or professional studio.

Got laptop? Use Renoise.
