As temperatures in Syria plummet, many families are struggling to find shelter from the harsh winter weather. Violence has forced people to flee their homes and take refuge in cold, damp accommodation without heating or adequate clothing. See how we’re working with our colleagues in the Syrian Arab Red Crescent to provide support: http://rdcrss.org/syriapics

In just two days, the snow storm in the Northeast canceled about 90 blood drives, resulting in approximately 3,100 uncollected blood and platelet donations. If you're not affected by the storm, please make and keep donation appointments: http://rdcrss.org/rcosnow #snow   #RedCross  #blood

Yesterday, a huge apartment fire in Edgewater, New Jersey forced hundreds of residents from their homes. The Red Cross is currently helping those affected by the large blaze. If you live in an apartment, make sure you know what to do to get out safely: http://rdcrss.org/mnjfire

OMG! My mother use to live in Edgewater. This is sad news. I pray that all families find shelter soon. This is one of the reasons I donate blood to the Red Cross. They need our help to help others.
