What is the most underrated human virtue?"

"According to a 2002 study conducted by the University of Massachusetts, 60% of adults can't have a ten minute conversation without lying at least once..."
Cecili Chadwick's answer: Honesty. I’ve heard some really great arguments made on behalf of lying to spare someone’s feelings, but ultimately, it’s just an impoverished orientation towards life. And it’s cowardly. I’ve even heard people justify lying by saying it’s only done to make the liar feel...

What exactly does the Defense Digital Service do?

"...Another project called Hack the Pentagon was the first bug bounty program in the Federal Government. Folks in industry know that paying for security vulnerabilities can make products more secure, but the US government hadn’t really caught on to bug bounties before. That project alone has the potential to protect millions of citizens."

Matt Cutts's answer: That’s a great question. We’re part of a larger organization called the United States Digital Service. The USDS started almost exactly two years ago as a startup at the White House. Since then, it’s grown to a network of teams throughout the Federal Government. Ash Carter, t...

Is +Dollar Shave Club a good deal for +Unilever at $1 billion?

"That strategic reason is that Gillette has been caught with its pants down by the whole ‘razor in a box’ thing, and it doesn’t seem to have much traction with the Gillette Shave Club. This presents a pretty big opening for Unilever in this space to go after one of the biggest cash cows for P&G..." http://qr.ae/1Z2N2G

I liked Uber a lot! They're a lot cheaper than a taxi. Uber drivers have a reall nice car, and they are friendly and nice. They're very helpful with putting my groceries in their trunk or on a dolly when I come home from shopping.

How did successful people spend their time when they were young?

"Most of these people spent a massive amount of time alone when they were kids and young adults. And most of these people still spend a much larger percentage of their time alone today than most outsiders would think."

Would I get fired from Google for using StackOverflow as a reference?

"Employers want people who read code as well as write code. They want people who practice coding. They want people who share knowledge. They want people who can seek out information, assimilate it, and put it to use..."

"In an academic paper, you should be careful with using unofficial references. Stack Overflow is an example of this. Anyone can write anything, and the only guarantee you have as to the quality of the writing is the reputation of the author and the number of up-votes the answer received. Publications such as professional magazines and articles are subject to known peer-reviews and are checked for accuracy and authenticity. While answers on Stack Overflow are also subject to peer-review, the standards of that review are not well known, if they even exist.
As such, while you may want to use Stack Overflow to provide direction for a paper, you would be wise to double check any answers you get, and see if you can find an established paper/article that supports that information. Then you can reference the official source, and give credit to Stack Overflow in general for helping with your research."

Quora: The best answer to any question.
Introduction

Quora’s mission is to share and grow the world’s knowledge. A vast amount of the knowledge that would be valuable to many people is currently only available to a few — either locked in people’s heads, or only accessible to select groups. We want to connect the people who have knowledge to the people who need it, to bring together people with different perspectives so they can understand each other better, and to empower everyone to share their knowledge for the benefit of the rest of the world.

Gather Around a Question

The heart of Quora is questions — questions that affect the world, questions that explain recent world events, questions that guide important life decisions, and questions that provide insights into why other people think differently. Quora is a place where you can ask questions you care about and get answers that are amazing.

Quora has only one version of each question. It doesn’t have a left wing version, a right wing version, a western version, and an eastern version. Quora brings together people from different worlds to answer the same question, in the same place — and to learn from each other. We want Quora to be the place to voice your opinion because Quora is where the debate is happening. We want the Quora answer to be the definitive answer for everybody forever.

Understand The World and The People In It

Quora has content you will feel good about having read. Quora helps you understand why the world works the way it does, why people behave the way they do, and what we can all do to make the world better. Quora provides a personalized feed of insightful answers to questions you hadn’t realized you should ask.

Quora’s answers come from people who really understand the issues and have first-hand knowledge. Quora is the place to read Barack Obama on the Iran dealprisoners on life in prisonscientists on global warmingpolice officers on how to deter burglars, and TV producers on how their shows are made. Quora is the place to read inspiring people such as Gloria SteinemStephen FryHillary ClintonGlenn BeckSheryl SandbergVinod Khosla, and Gillian Anderson directly answering the questions people most wanted them to answer. Quora is where you can read important insights that have never been shared anywhere else, from people you could never reach any other way.
