I recommend the Observation Lounge on the Queen Mary. The have live music every Sat night. The 50s art deco transports you to this iconic time. The food and drinks are great. Has far as the ship it self you feel as if you are living a past life. There are really great views of Long Beach, that with the back drop of the ship feels like peering into the future.

The Queen Mary is a great piece of history to visit if you ever find yourself in Long Beach. We were there on vacation and decided to visit the Mary because we love history. They had a lot of great exhibits like the communications room, the bridge and even an exhibit dedicated to princess Diana. If we ever find ourselves back here we'd love to try one of the rooms in the hotel as we heard from a guest we met that they're excellent.

The Mgr.and fromt desk staff are not friendly people and put on a total fake smile. The are not knowledgeable in their own field of work. Keep in mind they charge $18 for parking. I asked them if I could leave a cash deposit and they said yes that it would be $100. I gave them the $100 cash and they then stated to me that I still needed a credit card to be autorized for $75 for incidentals. Note:The room had been paid for in advance. Morons

This hotel is an experience that will impress from the initial arrival and through the stay. It is not the most updated and technological hotel out there but it isn't designed to be so. There is an aire of elegance from times past and you can see how this was the way the rich in the long past wanted to travel. The age shows but that is also somewhat by design as you experience the history. The walls are "thin" so noise does travel and obviously there are requests posted to keep it quiet in the "hotel" areas.

Staying on the Queen Mary was on my "bucket list" and I can say I really enjoyed it. My bar tab was pricey, but that was my fault ~ ha..... it was a true journey, clean rooms, and the food was good too........ To walk the halls, and see the grandeur of such a great ship was impressive. The FREE shuttle to across the harbor was great. It runs every 15 minutes. I would suggest to the owner they put in a business center. The free type instead of the "pay by the minute." The front desk staff was helpful, and the older retired Navel Officer was great in information. He was dressed in "Navy Dress Blues." It takes at least 1/2 day to explore.... GREAT STAY~

Had my wedding here. Everything was great and all my guests were impressed by the gorgeous view. Staff here gave us nothing but extremely help during the whole process. Thank you, Ashley, Nicole, Maria and all the amazing staff on Queen Mary. They definitely work toward our benefit, understanding how stressful weddings can be. Thank you again!

I'm giving the Queen Mary a four stars overall. I'll start with the hotel. If you don't book specifically with the parking included, they will charge you a fee per day. I think it's 17. This is not a typical hotel, it is a decommissioned cruise ship...so don't expect five, four or even three star accommodations. This hotel is usually booked for the specific reason of getting spooked or wanting to be a part of the past. There is no ac unit in the room, they do have holes in the walls that blow out cool or hot air. Not cold air. Typically opening the hatch Windows let's in plenty of cold air. The bathroom is small, tv is standard definition, you have to pay for Wi-Fi, the walls are paper thin so you hear everything your neighbors are saying or doing, the beds are comfortable, the room is clean, room service is quick and pretty good. Now the ship part of it. This place is amazing. For those of you that enjoy history, this place has it. Plenty of spooky dark places to see and a heavy recommendation...bring a powerful flashlight. It's serves well in the belly of the beast. Bring a camera, you just might capture something unbelievable. When you stay at the hotel side, you get free tickets to tour the ship. Go to the belly and take a self guided tour, take the guided haunted tour, take in a cold drink and especially take in some food at Sir Winstons. See as much of the ship as you can...it's fun. 4/5 when considering everything. 2/5 for the hotel alone. Come and enjoy the past at the Queen Mary.

Response from the owner - a year ago
Carlos - a little tough as a grader but I like your style. WIFI is included in your facilities fee of $14.95, which entitles guests to: • Audio tours of the ship • Children’s scavenger hunt • WIFI • Access to the fitness center • 50% off of select guided tours and attraction tickets • A portion of the facilities fee will be used for the restoration and preservation of the Queen Mary.

The boat itself and the tours were fantastic. Unfortunately, they were limited on places to eat, you pretty much only had 1 option. Of course this 1 option had a wait which wasn't the problem, the problem was the fact that management had no idea what they were doing. They stopped seating guests because they were getting ready for a valentine's dinner at the ball room. Knowing they had people already on the waiting list before they decided to stop sitting, they agreed to sit us in the ballroom. Our 20 minute wait turned into a 45 minute wait. The ballroom kept telling us we were not allowed in until 4, it's now after 3:30 and wet have a tour scheduled for 4:30. The manager at the restaurant kept saying they would seat us in a minute. The lack of communication between the ballroom and restaurant was ridiculous. Lots of angry, hungry guests.
