How shallow is the mind of man to immediately think of Bioshock or Fallout when seeing this trailer. facepalm The only similarities are literary tropes.

+Stuart Bradley Newsom shallow? rapture hasnt been used in successful gaming ever outside of bioshock games, and since its a teaser alone from the name anyone would assume was bioshock related. and the radio broadcast sounds so similar to fallout radio broadcasts of before the war.

you should lay your high horse and let everyone speculate something that is totally valid.

Hey Deanna, i've been looking everywhere for tips on how to make a dynamic mask in the materials. Everywhere I look, its either a tutorial that changes a mask based on a single position or something predefined. This demo pretty much is exactly what I was looking for. I'm looking for a way to have a mask that starts black but whenever there is any sort of collision, like a particle hitting a skin, I want the mask to change to reflect where it was hit on the UV space. Any ideas on how I can go about this?

Hahaha, yeah that Event Tick ordeal was a problem for a sec when I did the same thing last year. Essentially you can build a branch chain after the tick to delegate where you want the power to go and when.

Anyways, I came to this video with a new problem. I remember back in the Unity days, I utilized Delta Time to prevent any movement from calculating based on your FPS speed.

Now i'm new to this Blueprint thing and I want to stay away from C++ so I can better learn this new system. I have a projectile that targets an object when spawned. It will then follow this object until it hits. Looks fine in the editor, but when I get low fps in a standalone player, the speed in which the projectile moves is associated to the amount of FPS you have, which could mean REALLY slow if say I was running through the OculusRift DK2. This causes quite a bit of headache.

How does one handle Delta time in UE4 blueprints and calculate movement without slowdown across various conditions? I can provide a screenshot of my blueprint if needed. Thanks! :D

One of my favorite games of Murder. Great map and some pretty good scenarios. :D

Comparing to Bioshock in general, may can be insulting. But I use it freely, with reason. Its not a bad thing. For me, its how the creators of Bioshock dealt with their story. This game is no different. It creates a surreal environment of norm that may be abnormal to ourselves. Bioshock doesn't have a monopoly, but by no means is it wrong to use it as a comparison. It allows us to grasp how we are feeling. To provide a viable example, we can express our feelings through. This game is its own thing. We are creatures of storytelling. Storytelling isn't meant to be original. Originality actually doesn't exist in the way people think it does. Originality is someone's perspective. It can be the same story, but their own rendition. I wish people naturally saw it that way, but oh well. Keep up the good work! Looks amazing.

I'd play it. I play the singleplayer games for the experience and not the game mechanics that do a good job at making me focus on the world. I'm tired of hearing that linear games are bad. They aren't and i'm okay with that.

+Traga Ray I never have problems with MP on BF4 nor BF3. They work pretty well.

Thanks for this great tutorial. It really cleared quite a few things up regarding the UE4 AI system. One issue I have currently is that when the enemy detects me and reaches and acceptable distance, it turns directly away from me with the back facing me. Any guesses on what is causing this?

See men like that is ridiculous? No. Its hot. Sexualizing the simplest things. Sex sells. Although I hate stereotyping, it really doesn't matter if its equally the same for both sexes. Both are incredibly hot.
