An artistic fence that marks the entrance of an undeveloped parcel of land near the east entrance to Imperial Beach has been completed. The fence, which replaces a conventional chain-link fence, was designed to enhance the area with images evoking local wildlife. The parcel, known as Pond 20, is a 95-acre piece of land that falls within the City of San Diego's Council District 8, but is under the Port of San Diego's jurisdiction. Pond 20 is also just a few feet away from a sign on Palm Avenue that delineates the entrance to the City of Imperial Beach.
