While we have been advising everyone to Service their Heaters and get a Carbon Monoxide Test done for a while now, residents of Victorian Public Housing homes have now been urged to not use their heaters heading concerns for their health and safety. Energy Safe Victoria has suspended the certification for a series of space heaters amid fears of carbon monoxide poisoning. #carbonmonoxide #plumheatingandcooling #plumheatcool #climatesolutionexperts #heatingandcooling

STAR WEEKLY NEWSPAPER IN FOCUS ARTICLE:
Thanking the community for 25 years

As Kyle Briggs reflects on the past 25 years’ ownership of Plum Heating & Cooling, he thinks mainly about how much he wants to thank his Wyndham community for its support that enabled reaching this milestone birthday.

He says he’s very grateful for that backing.

“It’s our community’s trust and belief in us that’s got us where we are today,” Kyle affirms. “And we just want to say to everyone, a heartfelt thank you.”

When Kyle began Plum, it was with three main values in mind – service, customer satisfaction and community. From this foundation, the business grew into the team of trusted and knowledgeable specialists it is today.

He says he’s seen many changes in the heating and cooling sector, but one of the things that’s remained the same for Plum is dedication to excellence in all areas.

“We constantly strive to provide the very best in product quality and advice. We stay on top of all current research and keep our product range, installation methods and repair service at the highest level,” he says. “And the exceptional customer service standards we adhere to is in our DNA.”

Kyle was humbled when Plum was named the 2012 Business of the Year in the Wyndham Business Awards. This year, he’s thrilled to be a finalist in three categories: Trade Services, Excellence in Innovation and Excellence in Sustainability.

A likely contributor to this achievement is that his team recently designed Eco Clean, a revolutionary method used to clean and service split-systems.

“We designed our own state-of-the-art waste-water catchment bags so a split-system can be cleaned more thoroughly than ever,” Kyle says.

“These bags allow the application of industrial-grade chemicals to loosen the dirt on the indoor fan coil. A special pressurised water system then removes all dirt, mould and bacteria from the system.

“Not only does this reduce power bills through efficient operation, it also helps eliminate air-borne pollutants that can cause allergies and asthma. Our customers report excellent results and we’ve now introduced the system to local businesses and schools.”

Mention this story before Wednesday, August 2 and get a $180 heater service (normally $240) or an Eco Clean for $240 (normally $275).
